Across the bridge and past the shipyard, there you will find Pigeon Creek Trail. Beautifully built for biking and walking, running parallel to the train tracks. Trains come by often and they'll honk for you if you ask them to, which is fun for the kids. There's shady grassy knolls and driftwood strewn across the beach, all perfect for picnicking, as seabirds fly overhead. Bring your family or come by yourself and enjoy the serenity of it all as you watch the tide go out and the ships come in. I wish it had more bike racks, but there's only one, and it holds one -mayyybe two bikes. It's about a mile walk from parking but the parking is free and streetside and there's enough of it to where I've never seen it totally full. My whole family loves this place. Given the area it's best to be gone by dusk.

This small park is provided by and maintained by the Port of Everett. There are a few picnic tables and trash cans but that's about it. Many people bring their dogs and let them run on the beach. No Parks Dept. rules govern this facility so no off leash policies in or not in place. I have seen upwards of 20 dogs here and never seen any fights. A few parking spots are provided at the beginning of the trail to the park near the Port of Everett entrance. A paved path of about 1.2 miles is needed to reach the park. Many joggers, walkers, cyclists and sight seers venture to the beach here. Various wildlife sighting possibilities exist including a breeding pair of bald eagles who make this a permanent home.

There are no restroom facilities of any kind here. A well maintained porta potty was removed a few years back due to vandalism.

Park is open dawn till dusk year round unless the Port is conducting maintenance somewhere...

So... This Beach is just okay. The walk from the parking was extremely long. We went during low tide and somehow my blind eyes didn't see the sign about the sinking sand and I walked out carrying my 16-month-old and had my 3-year-old in tow and started to sink! It was my fault of course but it was an absolutely horrifying experience because both my kids were screaming and I was sank to mid-thigh and had the most difficult time getting out. I don't think I'll ever be back to...
