I've visited Everett often but could never find a bakery that met my high standards. This time, I thought I'd just take a look as I passed by, but the modern yet classic interior drew me in, and I ended up walking into the bakery. The smell of freshly baked bread and the warm greeting from the owner made me realize I was already selecting various baked goods before I knew it. The place was so clean and well-maintained that I thought it was newly opened, but I was surprised to learn it's been around for about eight years (as of 2024). You can immediately tell how much effort the owner puts into keeping the shop spotless and organized. I also appreciated that the bread here isn’t overly sweet, and they offer some unique items I hadn’t seen elsewhere. This is definitely a bakery I’d visit often if I lived nearby. I heard their pizza is also delicious, though I didn’t get the chance to try it this time. Here's a detailed review of this bakery: - Service: The service here is excellent, with the owner being exceptionally friendly and welcoming. - Price: The prices are reasonable, especially considering the gourmet quality of their pastries, cookies, and pizzas. However, the coffee could use a bit more depth and richness in flavor. - Food: The pastries are delicious and pleasantly not too sweet, which I prefer. Just be sure to enjoy them soon, as they tend to dry out quickly. - Ambiance: Cute and lovely! There’s a small indoor seating area and some outdoor seating, but the bakery primarily caters to take-out customers. - Parking: While parking is available, the lot tends to fill up quickly. Nonetheless, finding a spot was manageable, and it's free of charge.

I'm pretty critical about pastries so take it with a grain of salt and definitely go give it a try for yourself. Here's my honest review of the items I tried: 1. Ginger snap cookie--let's start on a high note. Absolutely tasty! It looks a bit messy but it tastes great, very flavorful, crunchy around the edges, soft and chewy near the center. I'll be visiting again just for that. 2. The macarons (pictured). They look and taste like they were made in a terrible rush, or by someone who hates making them. Barely any filling at all, the shells weren't aligned, and the shells were hollow (sign of a flawed bake). Probably the worst macarons I've ever had. Go elsewhere for your mac fix. 3. The tarts (I tried cranberry (pictured) and pumpkin). Too dry for me, not enough filling as it was mostly crust. Crust was overbaked. Didn't finish either...wouldn't buy again. 4. Snickerdoodle was hard and the flavor was subtle. Some might like it but I prefer soft cookies. 5. Blueberry pastry. It looked very pretty. The berries were tart and the cream cheese icing wasn't sweet enough to balance it out so the whole thing tasted a bit sour. The pastry itself was yummy though. I might try another kind of pastry next time. Overall, not my go to place. But lots of people seem to like them so absolutely give them a shot! Just...beware the macarons. I'd say everything but those deserve a fair chance.

Someone messaged me about this place thinking it was my favourite boulangerie/pâtissier! Fast forward the day I stepped into this slice of almost-Parisian paradise. It screams Bonjour! but whispers s'il vous plaît, we’re trying too hard! It’s like watching a high school drama student auditioning for the role of a sophisticated French aristocrat – admirable effort but the authenticity falls as flat as a deflated soufflé. There’s more to being a pâtisserie or boulangerie than just slapping on French food names and sprinkling powdered sugar everywhere. It's about finesse, savoir-faire and a certain je ne sais quoi. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but authenticity? Well, the baked goods may fill your senses sans the aroma, outdoor/openness transports you straight to the streets of Paris and outdoor ambiance may be nothing short of enchanting – think charming bistro tables, blooming flowers. Service may seem as if the staff took a crash course in indifference. But, don’t let the sour grapes spoil the whole vineyard. The pastries are still worth every eye roll and impatient sigh. However, if you're in the mood for some choux choux and a side of second rate service, this bakery is your ticket to a taste of almost-France!

We like to start with the food as it is the main reason you go. We have to go with a sliding scale of 3.5 to 5 across the four of us who tried it together. The "pig in a blanket" had great flavor with a little bit of a spicy kick but was dry. The mushroom gouda tart was delicious, the raspberry muffin was "better than most". We still have a lemon blueberry poppy muffin, ham and cheese croissant and more to try, so maybe this review will be updated later. Sadly the croissant dough had a problem so no chocolate ones to try, but there is a twice baked almond one I would like to try in the future. The staff wasn't awake and thought my stepdaughter ordered the same oat milk mocha twice (weird?), which was tolerable but not so good (then again I really don't care for oat milk). But I do give them props for having every dairy and dairy alternative available, if you want coffee or chai this is a good spot. The place did feel like a true French cafe with the record player working and a huge selection, the small business feel with everyone's business cards up for you to view and take if interested.

Had high hopes! Visited for the first time and was a huge let down. Staff said the brioche was warm and fresh out of the oven, so I thought why not. Vanilla strawberry rhubarb cupcake and egg tart also looked good, so I grabbed those. I also picked up two lemon shortbread cookies. The only thing worth getting is the lemon shortbread cookies. Maybe. The brioche had wayyyy too much yeast, it completely tastes sour. Even after reheating it, it just smells so sour. Bummer on that one. The buttercream on the strawberry rhubarb cupcake is straight butter. I’m unsure if the bakers taste test batches before sending it out! The egg tart was overdone making the egg completely rubbery. We had to toss everything cause no one wanted to eat it. I am really sad by all the misses here - would love to try again but we don’t really come to Everett often. Just so happened to stop by. Really bummed by this and wish we stopped at a different bakery instead!

Ok, not much "choux" ...and could use a few tweaks. Popped in based on reviews. I think that if I were coming in for a loaf of bread, I would be more pleased. As it was, I came in for afternoon treat with friends. I was expecting some items that were made with choux pastry (think... eclair, cream puff), but found more standard bakery fare (croissant, cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies). They did have a chocolate and caramel tart that sounded interesting, though much too sweet for my taste (I know... I'm writing about a pastry...). It would have made a great ice cream topping. Sadly, no decaf coffee, thus I will not be back for afternoon treats. Note to owners: don't forget to train the staff to wipe the steamer wand after steaming. #bacteria #blech The blondie was good and the record collection impressive. The service was friendly and seating area bright and cheerful.
