Used to frequent this store often. They closed down the dressing rooms. Put no signs letting you know no more dressing rooms. I talked to worker who said manager wasn’t in store. Spent hour half looking through racks and filled cart to try clothes only to be told nope. Then when I got to desk they called manager. I asked if I buy all these things and they dont fit what do I do. He said can’t get money back and must come back with in 3 days for store credit or exchange and must use store credit within a month. I asked if I return all the huge pile of clothes can I have more than month to come back and he said no. When I asked store manager using my fingers as quotes asking if he was “store manager” because the lady said he wasn’t in store and I wanted to see if I was talking to manager and he got angry and said im rude for asking and walked away. I think he’s new manager with zero time for costumers and probably white man ego that can’t stand others stating something isn’t right. Store is no longer worth going to. Update: I did call regional goodwill. They were very polite and did share dressing rooms can’t be opened beyond anything this store has control over. Also I mentioned that forcing people to buy things they hope fit, dont, and if they don’t they can only be able to exchange within month is going to keep me from buying things from them. She said she’d discuss with regional. Hopefully they work out a compromise for us shoppers. As for manager at store not sure maybe he was just having a bad day that day and just couldn’t manage a customer complaint. I guess we all have bad days. Will update on exchange policy...
Read moreReally sad it’s gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. Today I wanted a pair of shoes 18.99! The stitching was hanging off on the back of the shoe, as was the sole- the cashier went to ask her manager about a reduction- I would have paid 10.00 and he said no- price as marked. When I can buy the same shoes online for 30.00 I’ll buy brand new.
I bought 3 pairs of shorts and a pair of shoes and a little high but reasonable priced, for what they were. (Lands end and Ann Taylor)
They used to have color of the week- now it’s just Sunday. The prices are simply out of control. A thrift store is for people who need to look nice and save money, or don’t have any.
You’re in Trenton, get it together. I’ll go to Red White Blue or the actual store from now on. You’ve lost a a long time customer. I live right up the street. I stop in all the time, but after today, I’ll be looking elsewhere.
Hopefully you change because it wasn’t busy at all, and Ive noticed it...
Read moreI had an issue with returning an item at the store that I just bought a minute ago at that store. A store manager acted extremely abrasive and was very sarcastic. I told him I wanted to return the item and he kept telling me I said I want to exchange. Thankfully, I had two witnesses a friend and a cashier. He reluctantly tried to process the return and the system would not let him. He was not able to find a resolution to this and called a general manager to help and stormed out. The lady in a calm voice with a smile explained their store policy, which is:” returns allowed only on clothes or electronics that do not work, and this can be done within 3 days. Other items are nonrefundable. Also they only return money on credit card, if you paid cash you will not get your money back, you will only get a store credit. In addition, she said they only do the returns on clothes because their fitting room does not work, otherwise, it...
