Nam Nguyen Hair studio — Attraction in Fairfax

I made appointment online 2 weeks prior my scheduled appointment, paid with my credit card for the service before even getting the service apparently this is the business practice which I’ve never experienced but I went ahead & paid. The day of my appointment I called was prompted on the answering machine to text so I texted several times to confirm my appointment around 9am but no one responded until I was on the road to my appointment I received a text saying my appointment was cancelled because I didn’t respond to a unknown number asking for my credit card a few days before. I don’t know who in their right mind would give out a credit card info to a unknown number after already booking & paying for a service online. It was my birthday weekend I was so exited to get my hair done but I was canceled last second. No one called to apologize I have never been treated so unprofessionally by a hat salon I hope the stylist is aware of whoever is hanging his appointments. Very bad business practice this is not the way to be running a legit business so...

🚫 Avoid this salon at all costs! 🚫 This was the worst hair experience I’ve ever had. One stylist bleached my clothes twice, showed up late to my appointment, and handled my hair so roughly during a balayage that my whole scalp hurt. She kept teasing and brushing my wet, bleached hair until I thought it would break off.

When I complained to the owner, Nguyun, he brushed it off and told me he was booked for six months. No offer to fix it, no apology, just excuses. To make things worse, the water was freezing because their heater was broken.

I reached out to one of the hairstylists after seeing a video of her's show up on TikTok. I've had previous rounds of black box dye + permanent black dye in my hair, so I didn't have many high expectations of being able to get it out in the first session, but Victoria proved me wrong! She did a stunning job of doing a color correction + a layered cut on my hair! I feel so much more confident with the way my hair looks now. I showed her one of my inspo pictured that I wanted for my hair, and we got to that point. The atmosphere at Nam's hair salon is so nice (plus Taylor Swift was playing a lot, which I loved SO much).
