never write reviews, but had to for this because i am so disappointed in this place. my mom recommended it bc she loved their pedicures -- was my first time trying it out. a few things went wrong:
they put the completely wrong color on my nails. when I pointed it out and asked to see the swatch I had chosen, the guy doing my nails said yeah its the right number, it will darken to that color.
It did not -- he was putting a sky blue polish, when I had asked for a very dark green. Turns out, the numbers got mixed up... wrong cap on the wrong polish. I thought -- its ok, mistakes happen. we're all human. being the non-confrontational person that I am, I didnt say anything.
but then, instead of re-doing it and removing the wrong color... this guy just layers on the dark green on top of the 2-3 coats of blue he already did. I said, wont that affect the color? if you just layer it on top, will the green come out right? he said yes. i said are you sure? he said, yes. in fact, he said its actually BETTER if theres more layers because my natural nail was so thin underneath. i thought... ok. sure, hes a nail tech. he probably knows what he is doing. again, i kept quiet.
but of course, the color doesnt come out right, and this guy still just keeps on layering. I ask to look and compare to the swatch I had chosen repeatedly, because it is obviously not the right color. again, im really really nice and calm about this... still. the RIGHT thing to do would have been to remove the wrong nail polish and start over. he did not do that.
this guy has put so many layers on at this point, that i just say its ok at the end because my nails are so thick and aggressively filed, im worried my natural nails will break underneath. i was really unhappy about it, but i just thought ill let it go. he seemed mad at the other nail techs about the wrong number mix up, and it was a genuine mistake. yeah, he didnt redo it and it messed up my nails... he made it worse. but idk why,... i just felt bad saying anything, so i didnt.
even though i was so upset about it, and they OBVIOUSLY messed up my nails because of their error and mistakes,... they charged me full price. and i tipped them... STILL.
even after all this... I was still planning on letting this go. but i went on Saturday to get this done....and literally THREE DAYS later.. on Tuesday, I see that the top coat layer is coming off of my nails. already!!! so not only do i have a ridiculously thick layer of polish on my nails... my natural nails are weak... but now, its also already coming off.
honestly, ridiculous. i paid full price and tipped for terrible service. this one star is for the woman who did my mom's pedicure, because she was actually really sweet and nice.
would not recommend this place to anyone. they just took advantage of my niceness and tried to pretend they didnt make a huge mistake. they couldve at least given me a discount or certificate or ANYTHING just to be like... hey, sorry we messed up so bad. shown a little bit of consideration, some apologetic sentiment to show they cared... but nope, not even that.
so, so upsetting. do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my first time leaving a review but I feel as though it is needed. After my first visit here, which was not great, I began seeing Trang who is an amazing nail tech. However, after my last visit I will not be going back.
My first time going to this nail salon, all I needed was a fill with gel nail polish and the nail tech, Lana, took almost 2 hours to do this. I tried not to worry about it because I knew I could just have someone else do my nails the next time, which I did. I began seeing Trang for all of my fills since my first poor experience and have had no issues with her.
The last time I went to this salon I did not have an appointment and Trang was not available so I had to have someone else do my nails. It was not until after we began that I realized it was Lana doing my nails (the same nail tech I had an issue with before). I wanted to give her another chance because I figured she could do better this time. I was wrong.
When we began I had questions about the dip powder nails and was told that for what I wanted the price would be $40 and I would be able to get a fill. I thought this was fine and she began to do my nails. I was extremely annoyed the entire time because she was not shaping my nails the way that I wanted, there was not enough powder used so I can see the missing parts when my nails are in the light, and to top it all off..this took her a total of 2.5 hours. Never in my life has a set taken that long for me. I got no designs, no rhinestones, nothing. Just plain color and it took 2.5 hours.
My other issue is that I was misinformed. After discussing the service that I would be getting, I was told that the cost would be $40 however when I went to pay the price was now $45. This would not have been an issue for me normally but given the fact that I had to sit in that chair for 2.5 hours for nails that look like I could have done myself, I was not happy. Not only was the price more than what I thought but the ONLY reason that I got the dip powder was because I was told by Lana that I could get a fill just as I could with regular acrylics. The lady who was cashing me out and scheduling my next appointment informed me that this was not the case. If I wanted to get dip powder for my next visit, I would need to take off the whole set and get a new set at full price again. I would have gotten a regular full set had I known that I couldnāt get a fill.
I called and spoke to someone about my experience and frustration and was offered $5 off of my next visit to compensate for the extra $5 I paid for my last visit. Sorry but that was not the issue. The issue was the fact that I sat 2.5 hours for a mediocre set, paid more than I was expecting, and now have to pay even more on my next visit because I will need to get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first time trying this salon was on Friday. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. My pedicure was great, no issues there. However, my gel manicure was done very sloppily. Itās currently Tuesday (four days later) and already three nails are chipping and most of them have bubbles underneath the surface. I felt like my manicurist was rushing to get my nails done and didnāt allow enough time for me to put my nails under the UV light to set. She also only did two layers of polish, while at other salons Iām used to receiving three layers. When she was finished, she didnāt do a finishing wipe. Iām very upset although the price was cheaper than most salons...
