LensCrafters — Attraction in Fairview Park

This is an updated and edited post. Initially, I had given them 5 stars as my ordering and measuring experience was great. All went downhill from that point. My glasses took about a week to come in, which was good. I came in to pick them up and was asked to have a seat. An employee came over and handed me my glasses. She was not friendly at all for starters. I put them on and noticed right away there was a problem. As I swiveled my head left to right it went in and out of blurriness. I began to tell her the problem and she, in a very condescending way, said to me, “that’s because you keep tilting your head back.” She swiftly asked for the glasses back and left to make some sort of adjustment. Upon her return, I tried them on again and still, same problem. Rather them ask me how they were now, she immediately went into how these frames/lenses are not warrantied because they are drilled and as soon as a walk out of the store I am not covered. Let’s just say that her patronizing and rude demeanor remained well intact throughout this exchange. Meanwhile, I still see can’t see well and I came to find out from a manager from another store, that they come with a 2 year warranty and there is no need purchase this. In addition, the manager from the other store said that my measurements were ALL WRONG and the field of vision was way to high for these (progressive) lenses. My glasses had to be completely reordered with the corrected measurements. To add, the mounting of the center bridge of the frames was crooked. The measurement, quality of construction, inspection, and dispensing of the glasses were terrible. Thank goodness I went to another location to correct all of this....

I took my 90 year old Aunt to Lens Crafters Fairview Park for new glasses. The nice gentlemen assisted us with picking out the perfect glasses for my Aunt, and she is not easy to please. On our way out he also assisted me by holding the door and helping us to the car, my aunt is using a walker. Unfortunately when it came time to pick up her new glasses, she had fallen and hurt her foot and I was not able to bring her in for the final fitting. However, when I picked up her glasses and took them to her they fit perfect and she is very happy with them. I personally have been going to this LensCrafters for over 20 years started going when it was in the old Westgate store. I have been very satisfied with all of my glasses, the eye doctors and quality of glasses and service I have received over the years.

This is my second review. Went back to LensCrafters’s at Westgate Fairview Park Ohio. Ben helped me again with a my friend that is home bound and cannot go to the Store to purchase her new glasses. Ben helped me again picking out glasses that my friend would like and gave me his expert opinion on the lens she should have for her reading, sewing and watching TV. Not at all happy with lenscrafters . I needed eyeglasses and contacts and asked if they took my insurance . They said yes and I expected my glasses the same day because they advertised one hour glasses . I have no copay with my insurance buy still had to pay 40 bucks . After my exam I tried to get glasses . But I was told they don't take my insurance I'd have to get them elsewhere . I said they just took my insurance ! They said they are not lenscrafters . But I called lenscrafters for my appointment and asked if they took my insurance and was told yes !? Very deceiving. Had I known I'd go to a dr that offered my glasses ! 3 weeks later I went back to pick up a contact prescription . I had a busy day and arrived with makeup on . Haven't worn contacts for some time and had trouble putting them in . The lady was very impatient and said your not leaving here until u put them in and out 3 times !
