I started coming to Gloss in 2023 and the service has been very mid level. I originally got my nails done with Gina, but that was short lived when she left. After my service tomorrow, I will no longer come back. Yesterday, I spent almost 3 hours for a pedicure and for a hard gel refill. The gentleman doing my pedicure messed up repeatedly and even had to drill off the polish to re do it. The polish is still bumpy. During my nail service, I showed a picture of what I wanted and she completely free styled her own design. Although my nails aren’t bad, I did not ask for the design. I asked for a simple polka dot design (picture included below) and at first, she executed it perfectly. I turned my head for a minute to watch the news and she added 50+ more dots than I asked for. It just doesn’t make sense. The design on each nail is completely different and there was no attention to detail. She just kept adding more and more. I paid $150+ after tipping. I would think after going here for so long, I’d have a better relationship with the workers but they honestly do not care. Last month when I got my nails done, they were botched too. Instead of drilling off the pink colored hard gel I had from a previous salon, they went over it and you could see it through the polish. I also had to go back to get my toes fixed because they weren’t cured properly and the paint came off. Lastly, the gentleman at table 8, I think his name is Alex, is so rude! He did my nails twice and he was the worst. Very sloppy and ignorant. You lost a loyal customer. And before someone thinks I should’ve spoke up during my service, as previously mentioned, I was there for 3 hours and it was almost 7 pm by the time my nails were finished. Not to mention, I already had to go back last time I got a mani/pedi to get my pedi fixed. I have a trip to go on today and I called this morning to get my nails fixed and they wanted me to come way too late.

I had Anthony as my tech. He did a wonderful job replicating the inspo photo I showed him! He is very experienced & talented and got the shape perfect. I got acrylic with black ombre dip and a green chrome ombre on top. I love my nails and can't stop staring at them!

The owner is a beautiful, kind, amazing lady. The first time I came in with a friend of mine and Danny and Candice did the d*mn thing. Both of our nails looked so good we got pedis right after and again, immaculate and those women were so kind as well. I would come back monthly just for the service we got that day. The second time I went, I didn't feel as much love. Again, the owner and her husband are amazing. Love them both! I had a very important occasion coming up, and I accidentally broke a nail, so I went in for a new set. I was quoted one thing, then told it'd be $40 more after my tech clipped my old ones off. I asked the owner, and they talked about it. Ultimately, I had to choose a different design. I showed her a different picture to go with and asked for color modifications. Things got mildly argumentative. I was feeling deflated and defeated, so I just gave up and said she could just do what she wanted. I let her know my nails are very thin and sensitive, but they were filed very aggressively (burning and filing into the nail bed) and when she was taking off my previous set, she attempted to just pry them off. Since they were barely 2 weeks old, it caused a ton of pain, so I asked for acetone to just soak them. Eventually, when they were done, the price was (reluctantly) as quoted, but my 15 year old asked why my left hand was so wonky. Cue awkward mom smile. I just kind of feel like I was bothering her by having an appointment, asking for acetone, asking for color modifications, and by panicking and struggling to find a different design that I liked. (It takes me weeks to decide on a design if it's not a solid color. Neurodivergence, what can I say) I want to go back for the design I showed when making that second appointment, but I will absolutely wait until Candice is available. Overall, the salon is 10/10.

I've been to this nail salon several times since they opened a few years ago, but hadn't been in almost 2 years. Unfortunately, after seeing today how inconsistent the nail technicians are, I won't be back.

A friend and I decided to go today for pedicures for my birthday. I made an appointment 2 days ago for both of us to get basic pedicures. My friend's nail tech was very prompt with getting started on her, very sweet and friendly, and I could tell she gave a nice foot and leg massage, etc. My technician, however, didn't come to get started on me for several minutes. She was rather pushy while trying to upsell a much more expensive pedicure ($60+ instead of the $35 we had made appointments for. She said the basic pedicure does not remove dead skin so I should upgrade. I thought that plus polish are typically the bare minimum for what a pedicure includes), she seemed annoyed when I politely declined (I said "no, thank you. I'm sorry, but that's more than I'm looking to spend today."), and then she was pushing hard to pressure me into a manicure (despite our appointments being only for pedicures).

The water for the foot soak was painfully hot when we got started. I told her it was too hot when she asked but she was preoccupied with something else so I couldn't soak my feet until she added COLD water to it. After a couple minutes, my feet were BRIGHT red when I took them each out for her to trim my nails. I looked at my friend's feet and hers weren't red at all so the water was definitely as hot as it felt. Even my friend noticed my feet were bright red.

She barely scrubbed my feet at all (did a quick swipe on my heels with the scrub/loofah and nothing on the bottoms or balls of my feet), and in comparison to my friend, she barely left the warm towels on my legs nor massaged my legs. The service description says the basic pedicure should include those services. My friend's nail tech even gave her calves a quick massage through her pant legs after the pedi was done. When we went for tea afterwards, my friend mentioned "your tech was NOT very nice!"

Also, upon check out, the receptionist asked me, "was everything okay?" I said, "yes, it was fine, thank you." She then asked, "you are Becky? I see you gave us two stars." I had NO idea what she was talking about. I asked, "two stars? Where?" She said, "I don't know, but it says Becky and has two stars." I said, "I don't even have hardly any signal in here and haven't hardly touched my phone. I don't know what that is." She went back and forth with me asking about the "two stars" until finally she let me finish paying. My friend later commented on how incredibly awkward that made it. (by the way - I realize the irony of me now leaving a two-star review. I figured it is accurate of this visit, but I hadn't left one before!)

So while my friend's technician was very sweet, kind, and thorough, mine was not. I suppose I could get her tech's name to request her next time, but I don't get nail services often enough so I need to know a business has the same standards for all...
