Forget-Me-Nots — Attraction in Falmouth

This store is not size inclusive! The woman working there was not very polite and she looked at my plus size clothes as if they were diseased. When I looked around the store I noticed that they were not size inclusive and I went up to the counter and stated that I can take my clothes back because they do not carry plus size clothing. The woman stated that they do have XL and when they have plus size pants, they go quickly. She was defensive and stated that they are not trying to not carry plus size clothes, it's just what they get. So, am I to believe that there are no plus size people who live in Falmouth? And furthermore, my two never worn size 16 velvety corduroy pants from Loft were not okay to take? Plus size people are not an "other." This is a good consignment shop to visit. The young ladies who work here mean well and are always willing to help.

The owner though, which I have encountered a few times, can be snippy and moody in my opinion. Once making me feel like she was surprised I could afford the items I came in to sell. The last straw was when I picked up my remaining items and she snapped at me when asking my name. I wear hearing aids and do not always hear people. I was informed or it was an off handed apology, that it was the end of the month and they were busy.

Having lived in a fairly wealthy area recently in a different State, I visited a few consignment shops there who prices were lower than this store.

Every year When I play in a hockey tournament in town, between my games I stop at forget me knots. I love consignment stores and this one it’s one of the best I’ve been to in Maine! They have fantastic name brands, like J.Crew, the loft, Kate spade, Columbia. In my opinion,Their prices are not incredibly cheap for most items but for what you’re getting there reasonably priced and if you’re able to get an item on sale then the price is even better obviously.
