Fisher's Popcorn — Attraction in Fenwick Island

It saddens me to write this review, as I have been a longtime Fisher's Popcorn supporter. This past weekend while visiting the beach, I stopped at the Fenwick location, and to say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement.I purchased four small tubs of popcorn in the following flavors: Caramel with Peanuts, White Cheddar, Caramel Dusted with White Cheddar, and Old Bay Caramel. When my mother mentioned that her tub of Caramel with peanuts was filled with pieces of popcorn and peanuts that weren’t coated with caramel, I brushed it off until I opened mine. To my dismay, my tub of Caramel Dusted with White Cheddar was absolutely flavorless. I mean, to the point of not being able to notice any sort of cheese flavor. On every trip to the area, I have always bought several tubs, and this is the first time I have noticed such a decline in quality. I am truly disappointed and hope the owner reads this review and considers how to balance profits without compromising quality. Otherwise, buyer beware, the taste just isn’t the same as it used to be!

Update to owner's response I appreciate the response, but I did not say that that there was no cheese powder, I stated that it was flavorless. I buy this popcorn all of the time, and if the recipe has not changed, I was sold stale popcorn. Please look at a the review from 2 months ago. They mention the same issue...

I have been going to Ocean City, MD for the past 42 years. I now enjoy going there in the winter time rather than summer. In the winter, the fresh salt air and breeze from the ocean still gives you the munchies. The only food item you can count on in OC that is going to be fabulous and satisfying is Fisher’s Popcorn. Fisher’s Popcorn is fresh, crunchy with just the right amount of flavorful caramel. As we were driving home, we realized we had failed to purchase any Fisher’s Popcorn to bring home. We made a quick U-turn in Rehoboth Beach (because the location in Rehoboth was closed) and high tailed it back to their main store front in Fenwick Island. Thankfully, they were open. We purchased several buckets of their caramel popcorn for us, family members and friends. This is truly the best popcorn in the Eastern United States region. California eat your heart out. Popcorn is great but pricy. You have to get it because it's delicious and tradition!!! The parking here is difficult and seems dangerous to costumers walking up to order with drivers pulling in and backing out. Tiny area with high congestion. Always super busy! The cashier was good about suggesting buying fresh popcorn made right then and do not buy the prepackaged popcorn ready to go at the checkout. Got a small box to eat then and it was small small for about $3. Spent $45 on 2 medium buckets and some prepackaged brittle. Totally forgot to bring along buckets from last year.
