This is such an amazing family run, locally owned distillery in SW Florida! I go in for a tour/tasting every time I visit the area. It is a must-do activity if you're in Punta Gorda! The rum is some of the best I've ever had...and it's gotten better and better since they've opened. Alex, the Master Distiller, is so passionate about his work, and it definitely shows in the product - he explains the whole process of making the Rum on their tour! He also explained that they use all organic and natural products when making the rum, and that also shows - definitely a huge difference between the big chain rum makers - this is the definition of small batch, carefully crafted, great tasting Rum! They offer FREE tours and tastings Mon-Sat, and are starting to do more events, with cocktail classes, etc. It is such a fun little outing for groups or couples. My favorites are the classic white rum (mixes well with anything), the dark rum that just won a gold medal in a local competition, and the spiced rum around the Holidays. Honestly everything they make is awesome! If you're in the area, you have to go check this place out...you won't regret it! ...
Read moreNgl, from the parking lot, this place is super underwhelming. Don't let looks deceive you! Head in there and talk to Alex! These two brothers are so passionate about their rum and what they do that I want to support them in any way I can! Plus, the rum is fantastic! I'm not a fan of white rum personally, but their dark, Golden, and spiced rums all knocked it out of the park! They even make the golden rum with local honey. I won't give away all of the secrets, you'll have to take the tour for that! Well worth the tour, visit, and to purchase a case or two for gifts and personal stock! Everything here is made local to Florida and you'll hear the passion they have in their craft the minute you ask a question in the tour. Please do! They really do know their stuff and didn't just "YouTube" it like you'll see in a lot of other...
Read moreVery cool tour. Brothers Ben and Alex spent a long time going through the red tape and bureaucratic process to get this operation off the ground, and the results show it was worth the effort. They have an operation they are proud of, with every right to be. The tour and process is fascinating. Everything that goes into their rum is locally sourced and the end result is as good or better than any of the big brands, along with the creativity in developing some interesting flavored varieties. Samples and a nice little gift area as well. Highly recommend that you take a few hours to see it in person. You...
