Upon finding this place, we were eager to try it due to the unique menu of food and drinks they offer and we LOVE to support our local small businesses and make friends along the way. Both my husband and I's sandwiches were delicious as well as our London Fog Latte, however I would feel deterred to go out of my way to go again because our overall experience was tainted by the staff.
Having never been there before, as we approached we saw a young woman serving food to a couple on the patio and sat at an open table nearby. The staff member walked passed us on four seperate occasions without greeting/acknowledging us whatsoever. You could see how this would cause confusion. I went inside to ask about ordering and learned it is order at the counter. Now, order at the counter is totally fine. In fact, one of our favorite spots operates that way. The difference here was staff saw us sitting for a prolonged time in the heat looking around and did not care to say hello, or welcome, or ask us if we've been before. A simple "hello! sit wherever you'd like and come inside to order when you're ready!" Would have not only been appreciated, polite, good business, but it's just standard. When I went in to ask, I was not even greeted, no smile, just my order taken. I politely told her hello and that it was our first time and we did not know we needed to come in to order to which they ignored and did not acknowledge. After placing my order I was told I could wait for my beverage inside and I did so happily. When it came out no one directed me to where I could find a lid, or a straw, and when I asked they simply pointed with a short reply- Monotone. Now, these are all very small things that can make or break an experience at an establishment, especially one this small. Maybe a "place order inside" sign could be useful if the staff will not be communicating with guests. This all just baffled me because it was very slow when we arrived with only 2 other couples seated and roughly 3-4 staff members up front and walking by. Customer service is a huge part of the food industry, whether walk up or dining. This was a pitty because the menu and establishment have much potential. I have worked in the service industry for many years from small cafés, busy night bars, to private yachts and this would have not been acceptable behavior at any. I must note that the young man working the delivered our sanwich was the only friendly one kindly asking if there was anything else we needed. Credit where...
Read moreHave never had a bad experience as I did at this place, my husband and I came with one of his friends who is a regular, ordered a baked Brie and charcuterie & cheese board. Both took a while to arrive, which whatever we were all talking and gave them the benefit of a doubt, over 30 min pass and the baked bri is nowhere to be found. I ask the lady at the counter and gave me an attitude and said they were busy. Finally dish arrives which was pretty much melted queso and “part owner” asks if there’s an issue, I mentioned to her it took a while to get our dish and she pretty much told us they had over 100 people and perhaps this wasn’t the place for us. Having to wait for food is normal, I was in the industry, and let me tell you, all you have to do is apologize for the inconvenience not go all defensive and tell your customers that is not the place for them. Guess what yeah that is not the place for me, we didn’t want anything for free, she asked what was wrong and we told her the issue. I will never step foot at this establishment ever again. Too many good places in naples to waste my money at a place like this Moral of the story, if you go there and your food takes a while,...
Read moreUnfortunately after many great experiences here I will not return until the Wednesday Adam’s looking girl making the coffee is gone. I have had the iced horchata coffee many times and it was wonderful. Today though something was not right with it. I could only taste a heavy nutmeg flavor. I took multiple sips just to confirm but it was burning my mouth. I politely complained and the friendly blonde girl taking the orders politely offered another drink. Wednesday Adam’s though could not be bothered to make eye contact or speak. So I went back to the blonde girl and explained the other girl seems terribly busy and was it possible to get another coffee. Then all the sudden Wednesday spoke up and said she was just trying to finish these other drinks first. Maybe I’m wrong but I feel I should have priority due to the fact they served me a subpar drink. Then when she finally got around to it she just placed it on the counter without saying a word. She may be a nice person but definitely doesn’t have the personality to deal with the...
