Chartreuse Craft Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Bonita Springs

I have been coming to Chartreuse for about a year and I have always had an amazing experience with top tier beverages, service and environment up until my most recent visit. I would consider myself a regular and always receive lots of love from the bartenders and servers any other time I have come in. I came to Chartreuse for a few drinks with an old friend that was visiting town (was very excited to show him my favorite spot) and I am very disappointed with the experience. We came in on Tuesday night around 9:30. There were only about 4 other parties there and it took quite some time for a server to come take our order. It took even longer for our actual drinks to be made and delivered. The drinks also tasted much weaker than usual. It seemed that the bar tenders were more interested in closing up the bar and tending to the music playlist. We had our first round of drinks and sat waiting for our server to come back, we could not get their attention and felt severely ignored. Once 11:00 hit, the server came and dropped the check, and I asked if it was possible for us to order a second round. There was no notification of last call & typically I have always been asked if I want another round before the check is dropped. The interaction overall felt quite rude as his response was "Nope, we are closed, we close at 11:00 so y'all gotta go." I was taken aback by this experience because I always feel very well taken care of and never received this sort of treatment, I also always follow the Chartreuse rule book and consider myself a well loved patron, who runs up a check and tips well. Well we went in some Hulu/Hawaiian night about a week ago. It was packed door to door. We weren’t greeted and have never been here before as we were visiting and it felt very awkward and not welcoming. My daughter wanted to try one of their overly priced cocktails so she went to the bar. We were greeted by an older woman at some point who had fake leis in her hand…but who didn’t offer one to us. I guess we weren’t local enough?? It was a bit offensive as most people were given one. Inclusive much? Anyway someone left and a person told us there was a table in the corner I could sit at….my daughter was still waiting at the bar. I sat in the corner alone for a bit and a lady came over and gave me some water and a menu of cocktails ($13-16 each). I explained my daughter was still at the bar and had ordered already. She had me point her out and went over to her. I thought she was going to have her come sit with us and get the drinks. But nope….she scolded her telling her next time just order drinks from her and not order them herself!! Guess she didn’t get tips then!? Thing is we didn’t have a table when we ordered….or even anyone who asked to take our order or seat us! Everything pretty much closed early there so we were going to just order another drink and end the night but guess what? No one ever came back to us for an order so we just left. Wow. If you’re looking for the worst vibe downtown you have found the place. If you don’t want to read a long review let me give you the tldr: this place is not good haha.

I changed my mind mid review . I wrote a review and I was positive of the drinks it until some gentleman with glasses treated me so poorly. I like to think I’m positive and generally understanding but this guy was not pleasant in the slightest. I initially put 2 stars but no. This place is unpleasant. Here is my initial review:

The only saving grace is the quality of the drinks. The service is quite poor, the staff tries their best but when there was a miscommunication with items they had not fully communicated, they tried to make us feel guilty for returning the drinks (drinks we had not even drank because we didn’t know what they were)

I stopped mid review cause I thanked the gentleman with glasses and I did a friendly tap on the shoulder to tell him thanks for the service and sorry for the miscommunication but he was quite hostile with me. I don’t recommend this place in the slightest. The drinks are good but they’re expensive and the vibe is pretentious. The other staff treated us with some level of respect but this guy perhaps had a bad day and treated us so poorly that it nearly ruined our night. Regardless it wasn’t worth the 100 bucks we spent in cocktails. You can find a better place literally anywhere else with a better vibe and level of service.
