So i went in today with a date and was excited because I know Butters has some pretty damn good food. That is all i can say about the good for todays visit.
When we came in and waited to be seated when we were finally acknowledged the waitress (older hispanic woman) asked if the family behind us had came in before us as if we had cut them in line.
After a good exchanges of ānosā from me and my date as well as the family behind us she proceeded to not even seat us but pointed to the booth, did not give us menus and instead told us to use the QR code at the table (this would not be a problem but it is when she was giving menus to everyone before and after us), then as we are waiting simply to get our drinks taken she was instead going around specifically to the family that came in after us and then another couple who sat down ten minutes after we had. Yes they all had menus. Then after speaking up about the lack of attentiveness from our waitress she then proceeds to act incompetent. She botched the coffees (2 vanilla lattes 1hot 1cold) first coffee to come out was simply a hot black coffee. Then when the iced v latte finally made it to the table there was no taste of coffee and was excessively flavored with vanilla. I did not get my warm v latte until the end of the meal..which i had to ask for several times.
Then when the food comes out the person with the food is confused on where to go and our waitress clearly forgot as she had no clue where the food was supposed to go until i finally spoke up and let them know it was our food.
Overall really disappointed. From the beginning til we left our waitress was nasty, couldnāt care less to take care of us and went out of her way to make us feel like we should not have been there.
First and last time i will be taking a date here. Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice little breakfast/brunch spot. We went there for brunch on Sunday and has several breakfast items. The XL Butters breakfast, bacon waffle, Cali omelet, and chilaquiles. I have to say, the omelet was GREAT! It was seriously loaded compared to other breakfast spots in NoCo. See the pics, lots of bacon, avocado, etc. To quote my son, the waffles "are extra fluffy and the sausage is soooo good". My husband really enjoyed the chilaquiles and went as far as to say that they were the best he's had in CO since we moved here, besides the ones I make at home of course š. That's saying A LOT!. He loved the guajillo sauce and the fact that the tortillas were so well smothered in it. The only negative about the food was that the hashbrowns were not crispy and actually a little underdone in some areas. You could taste that the potatoes were still a little "toothy". So we didn't eat the hashbrowns. The beans were just ok and they only had grape jelly for the toast. But there was a big plus to their hot sauce options, they had Tapatio which is rare to see in CO as it's mostly a Tabasco or Chalula state. We LOVE tapatio, thank Butters for having that as an option. A HUGE shout out to our server Dahlia, she was AWESOME. Sweet, attentive, quick and I really appreciated that she spoke to us in Spanish. She made our experience that much more enjoyable. Everyone was super nice overall. Atmosphere was typical, a little loud, some old school 90's/early 2000's playing in the background. The coffee was strong and hot. We will definitely be visiting for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm from out of town and wanted some good breakfast food from the hundreds of places there are to choose in Fort Collins, so I went alone on a Sunday morning so obviously it was busy, I knew the employees were slammed so I understand what that's like. That being said, I sat in between 2 couples at the bar and wasn't acknowledged by either of the 2 employee behind the bar for at least 10 minutes. I was about to leave when Emily asked if I had been helped. I said no and she proceeded to help me out. Despite being just as busy as the other 2, she still checked in with me about the food or if I needed more coffee. As far as I'm concerned EMILY is the only employee worth a damn here. You'd think the food would be from a 5 start restaurant or something considering the awful service here. Or maybe they just see a lone person instead of a group and don't even bother. Well, I typically tip generously even with regular service because I know how difficult that job can be but the only person that deserves anything this morning was Emily. When I left I was upset and even had a hear a "your welcome" from a skinny tall guy that felt he deserved a thank you because he threw open the door for me. When I turned back and yelled, "oh now you want to say something to me" of course he didn't look back. Get your house in order Butters, you need to treat your...
