Encore Bridal — Local services in Fort Collins

As a mother of the bride, my daughter had tried on many wedding dresses. When we walked in we were greeted with such an upbeat atmosphere. Lilly and Emily was our stylists and they made everything so fun. She listened to what we liked and didn’t in dresses and I never felt judged. In fact, she made us feel so at ease when she told us “dresses don’t have feelings.” We had one more appointment after our appointment at Encore, but we knew the dress was at Encore. We called back to see if we could try it on one more time. Unfortunately, the shop was closing in 30 minutes and they were busy with appointments. Totally understandable. But wait, As we were pulling out of Fort Collins they called us back and said they would stay open late for us to come back. This spoke volumes to us, especially since we were from out of state. They had the dress pulled and when she came upstairs and looked in the mirror, she said this is the ONE. What a rush of emotions. The shop owner handed us Kleenex to wipe our happy tears. This bridal shop is an absolute disgrace. It is one of the dirtiest and most unprofessional businesses I have ever walked into. Many of the gowns were stained, the bathrooms were filthy with a mop and bucket sitting out, and the fitting rooms doubled as storage closets. To make matters worse, veils were literally tossed on the floor for customers to walk on. Nothing about this place was sanitary or respectful of the dresses they are supposedly trying to sell.

The staff was just as bad. They were sloppily dressed, had terrible attitudes, and made me feel like my presence was an inconvenience. My consultant showed up late, sat down while I shopped through racks, rushed me at the end, and then hovered in the fitting room without offering any actual help. Even my personal clothes had to go on the disgusting floor because there was nowhere else to put them.

This shop is not ADA compliant, is run with no sense of professionalism, and frankly feels like a joke of a business. I would have had a cleaner, kinder, and more organized experience at a secondhand store. Brides deserve so much better. I strongly recommend avoiding this place...

Loved my experience. My consultants were so fun and understanding!

My only issue was that they didn’t have most of the dresses that I wanted to try on from the website. However, that ultimately didn’t matter :)

Sophie was as the one helping me but everyone in the store interacted with us and was helpful. I let her know I’d found a “dress to beat” the day before. We tried on several styles, all of which were gorgeous but ultimately I was comparing everything to the one I’d already found the day before.

However, we tried on some second look options and ended up going with the most fabulous ostrich feather capelet to go with my gown. I sobbed and got the full “bridal feeling” moment when I tried them on. I knew it was the perfect addition to complete my look.

I went back the next day to place the order and got a lovely surprise… They let me take my pair off the rack for a significant discount! I was already so under budget, this was just the cherry on top. I feel so blessed that my entire bridal shopping experience was bliss and that I got to finish the journey at Encore.
