My husband and I spent $8,000 on sleep number bed from the new Fort Gratiot store, and I have never seen such poor customer service or after-sale support with issues that should have never occurred with a product as expensive as this was. First, I was told that the delivery person would remove my old bed and put the old one "anywhere I wanted it". When my bed came, because the room was not empty of the old bed, they refused to put the new bed in the bedroom because the old bed remained and they stated that the room had to be empty of the old bed for the new to be set up. The deliver person said that they do not touch the old beds, so the new bed was left in my garage. This was 11/30/17. Long story short they did come back 18 days later and set it up on December 6th. The bed never worked correctly, my controller operated my husbands side and vice versa. My husband has Parkinson's and is a very tall man, so he has severe difficulty getting in and out of bed without the help of the bed. Sometimes his needs are immediate. Also, his side of the bed is noticeably shorter than my side, so when bedding is on it, it looks terrible. After playing phone tag with the store, I finally spoke with someone and said I was considering returning the bed. I was informed that part of the bed is not returnable and that it would cost $3,999 to return it. There is nowhere in my paperwork stating this. I also never was told the cost, nor was I provided copies of my paperwork. The store had the company come and fix the issue with the malfunctioning bed finally on January 18, which was found to be set up incorrectly by the delivery person. It did not correct the unevenness, and the repair man said that it was a factory defect and was nothing he could fix-the mattresses are two different heights. He then said to me, "What do you what, comfort or looks?" Vicky from the store nor her manager never apologized for the mistake or the defect, nor did the main company representative. I am just beside my self. I would think that they would at least apologize. Buyer beware, once they have your money, that's where the...
Read moreThe sales person was great at his job.. To sell the product, however the lack of in depth explanation on the internal makings of the bed, led me to believe Sleep Number beds were mechanically more than what they actually are. I was disappointed as soon as the delivery guys began set up. The first 3 nights were the only 3 times I slept in the bed. Despite adjusting the sleep settings every night. I was miserable, by the middle of the night, my back and hips hurt so bad, I couldn't even sleep in the bed and had to crawl out on my hands. I was very disappointed and returned the bed. I've since purchsed a pillow top mattress from Ben's Furniture. Their knowledgeable sales person knew exactly which mattress would be best for me and I am extremely pleased with...
Read moreIf you haven’t tried the sleep number bed test I highly recommend it. I truly was skeptical myself thinking a bed is a bed. But after the test and seeing and feeling the results I can no longer say that. Have back pain? Toss and turn all night? The sleep number bed can help you with that. Got a snorer next to you in bed? They can help with that by raising your head to stop the snoring. Cold feet? The optional foot warmer can help with that. The staff was very educated on the product and took the time to explain everything. I highly recommend the staff at the Fort...
