This is two tiny haunted "houses" which are actually a maze of walls that fit inside a double basketball court. My entire visit took 30 minutes for both houses (including waiting in line) which seemed really short for the value. At arrival, it was confusing. We bought tickets and registered online, yet they asked us to go to pre-registration line. Why? That's a waste of time, just scan the QR code on our phones and let us go through. When we were at the desk, they didn't even have scanners - what's the point of giving us QR code?
Now regarding the haunted houses, there was way too much ambient light. I suggest covering up the entire roof of the entire place, so that it is not ruined by ambient light of the exterior. It also seemed that the actors in this house was terrified of touching people. Physical contact is the ultimate way to scare people. Everything was a "hands off" situation. Actors were great, I enjoyed their efforts even though they were handcuffed with rules of performing their jobs.
The designers of this haunted house needs to go to "Scarehouse of the South" in Gillis Springs, GA to experience it and gather information to improve their haunted houses. It's a good start, and there's a lot of room for...
Read moreNightmare Village was absolutely insane in the best way possible! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere grabs you and doesn’t let go. The level of detail in every room is unreal. The sets, the props, the lighting… everything is crafted so well that you forget you’re in a haunted attraction and feel like you’ve been transported straight into a horror world.
The actors were phenomenal, fully committed, high-energy, and completely in character the entire time. They don’t just scare you, they interact, create moments, and make the experience unforgettable. And the sensory effects? The smells, sounds, and immersive elements take it to a whole new level. You can tell they put a lot of passion and creativity into making this a full 360° experience.
While waiting in line, we interacted with a very scary and funny clown named Patches.
I had such a blast that I ended up going through twice, and it was just as thrilling the second time around! If you’re looking for a haunted attraction that is intense, original, and truly memorable, this is the one to visit.
Nightmare Village sets the bar HIGH. Can’t wait to go...
Read moreNightmare Village at Extreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale was hands down one of the best haunted houses I’ve been to this year! What makes it stand out is that it’s actually three haunted houses in one, all connected through a single entryway. Each section has its own unique theme, and the transitions are done in a clever way, you literally walk through a movie theater screen into a new “film,” making it feel like you’re starring in three different horror movies back-to-back.
The scare actors were phenomenal, full of energy, totally in character, and clearly loving what they do. Every room had something unexpected, and they made sure no one in the group ever felt safe from a good jump scare!
The ticket pricing was also super reasonable for the quality of the experience. While waiting in line, they had drinks available, plus a few scare actors roaming around to keep the energy up (and your nerves on edge).
Overall, Nightmare Village delivered on every level: atmosphere, scares, creativity, and fun. If you’re looking for a haunted house that’s immersive, high-energy, and worth every penny, this...
