10 Stars and more! This is a VERY important piece of my dad's history that I was looking for THE BEST to keep it in the best shape possible, and Heritage Art Galleries & Framing, did it!. During World War II, my father was a soldier, for Italy, found this tapestry (made in 1854) hanging off of a tree next to a bombed and burning church in the former Yugoslavia. By the end of the war, they had no more supplies, no more food, they had even gotten their shoes stolen. Slowly but surely they made their way back to Italy. Throughout all of this he still had the tapestry, after he made it back into the country, he promptly decided to leave. My father moved to Venezuela where my family has lived ever since, the tapestry hanging at our house through these long years. Now, when we moved to the United States, we really wanted to bring it with us, as it is one of the remaining things my father left my mom, it is of great meaning and significance to us. In August my mother died, so when to deal with everything, I had to figure out a way to get it here. I removed it from its original frame which completely shattered the second it was removed. After read, researched and taken time to find THE BEST PLACE that would take care of it and frame it with the upmost care and love, here it is, greater than ever. Was looking for a reasonably priced local framer to frame about ten posters for our government office. My assistant reached out to heritage and connected us. I was shown a variety of frames and based on the office’s current decor, the current trend, and colors in the posters, Heritage helped me select the most suited frames to accent them. The co-owner Linda was extremely organized and had taken pictures of all the pieces that I had given her; I had never even thought to take this important step in order to keep track of the posters submitted. Ian and Linda both visited the office to access the office‘s aesthetics and to offer their subject-matter guidance with the frame selection, the placement of the works, and the install as well. These posters rounded out a project that was started in 2015 and they as well as other works went on to be included in a region-wide storyboard that our office comprised and submitted to our headquarters. The owner, Ian, runs a truly wonderful shop and does incredible work. I had found a 45 year old Albert Huie canvas painting of my mother, rolled up and stuffed away while cleaning out her closet. I brought it in for restoration work. Ian quoted a reasonable price and kept in constant communication during the process. He expertly touched up all the cracked, chipped areas, and added varnish as well. The color of the restored areas match perfectly.
