Such a terrible experience. Iāve been waiting for this location to reopen since March so I can sign up for a membership. I got one of their free day passes to check out this location, but got chewed out and threatened by the manager Shauna and personal trainer Santana. I got the free day pass on Saturday, but was busy so I decided to come in and use it on Monday. When I got there, Shauna told me since I received the day pass on Saturday, I was only allowed to use it on Saturday. I told here it says I have up to two weeks to use it. She started arguing with me and said I was only able to use it the day I received it in my email. I showed her where it said I have up to two weeks to use it and asked her if she could read it. She got very offended and threatened to call the cops if I didnāt leave. Seriously?! Iāve been waiting forever for this location to reopen because a friend recommended it to me and now Iām getting threatened and canāt use a single day pass?! The personal trainer Santana decided to chime in and kept telling me to take a ādeep breathā. I was breathing perfectly fine, I just wanted to check out a gym that I was interested in signing up a membership with but God forbid I ever go back to this location. Santana spent the next ten minutes trying to talk me into using her as a personal trainer, but I told her I wasnāt interested, I just want to use my one free day pass! The manager came out and told me I could use my day pass (finally!!). After three minutes of working out, Santana grabs the elliptical and forces me to stop. She then grabs my arm and tries to drag me out of the gym. I told her to let go, then asked Shauna why I have to leave. I guess Santana was very upset that I denied her training services. I cannot believe she would grab my arm and try to drag me out!! Shauna told me I can go back to working out. Such an unbelievable experience. I canāt believe I got threatened and physically dragged just to use a free day pass to check out the gym. God forbid I sign up for their membership! Iād rather drive an extra ten minutes to use the Plantation location. Iād love to get in touch with the owner to tell them about my experience. After my time there, there was never more than four people working out at once. I mean really? Youād rather threaten me and let your big gym sit empty instead of letting check it out for a day?...

After noticing a billing issue on my account for this month I called and asked to speak with the general manager āShaunaā twice and she never came to the phone or returned my call. So, I came to the location to see if this can be resolved in person. As I arrived, I asked to speak with Shauna, and she was there so I proceeded to tell her the situation she interrupted me and got an attitude and put her hands in my face and said, āsave itā. (You can view your cameras to view this). Afterwards I was astounded and upset that a āgeneral managerā would handle themselves in this manner. She stated she would pass me on to my district manager who was next to her, and I said okay thatās fine. After speaking with Daniel, the district manager, he handled my issue and I proceed to inform him that she was extremely rude and put her hands in my face. Additionally, I asked him is this is type of āghetto trash you hire?ā. He stated do not say that I stated okay that fare. He asked I can cancel your membership now or proceed with your refund? Then later stated, I cannot let that go I have to cancel your membership. However, he never addressed her on how unprofessional, rude, and ghetto she acted with a member that she has never had an encountered with. I do not believe you should have this type of people working at your establishment. She shouldnāt be employed at Planet Fitness! She is rude, condisending, and downright nasty. I have been a member for less than a year. I needed to cancel my membership for health reasons. When I went in to cancel, I was advised that there is a buy out fee .I explained that I was not aware of any buy out fee and that my membership was supposed to be month to month per their advertising. They showed the contract and I asked for corporates number. Their first response was "I just work here" and then They said that I could speak with a manager (who was out of the club on a family emergency) and she would return in about 30-45 mins. I agreed and went and worked out. After 30 mins, Danis returned and immediately was rude to me. Did not say hello, or how can I help you, or even apologize for any inconvenience.or misunderstanding. Instead she said to me "you have to pay the buyout fee" I explained that my membership should be month to month and I would like corporates number. She refused to give me ANY information and said I could Google the number and send in a complaint. I then went to the car and in 10 seconds got the number for customer service and filed a complaint. This treatment was appalling. This woman should not be dealing with people or at least have some customer service training.
