Brown stew chicken and white rice. When they say don’t come to this place don’t! Food looks great but chicken was hard in a lot of places and actually taste like a bunch of ketchup. Once I got up and looked at the food in the serving side it looked pretty old as if it had been sitting a while.
Also upon sitting there a guy had someone order him a lunch special via door dash . Instead he came inside and asked if he could retrieve the food the guy said no which was kind of understandable. So he waited on the dasher outside and retrieved the food from her. He came inside and everybody seemed shocked that he had actually retrieved the food that was his from the Dasher. He then asked if they didn’t mind him sitting inside so that he can eat his food they said yes it was OK then he proceeded to ask if they didn’t mind, could he get a cup of water the lady replied very rudely WHY DONT YOU PAY FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER!! which the lunch special came with a drink anyways that they forgot to give him. The guy gave him a drink of juice with so much attitude and forces. The guy with the food asked how much for champagne Jamaican drink inside of the cooler. The guy told him it’s going to be $2.50. He laid his change on the counter and said he only had $2.25.. The guy that works there proceeded to say don’t worry about it. Just take the juice and go and sit down and begin picking up the change, saying that she needed to cash out another person that was behind him so I immediately turned around and intervened in the conversation and ask the guy that ordered the food what is it that he wanted? He said he wanted the champagne drink inside of the cooler. I turned around and asked the guy that works there. How much is the drink? He said oh it’s 250. I said well gosh it would’ve hurt you that much to give this guy a drink that was $2.50 and he only had $2.25. I said give him the drink and when I’m done eating my food I’m gonna pay for It. I then packed up my food because I was so disgusted with the attitude that they had given someone that was in need in the moment. I proceeded to go to the register and pay for the food. I told the lady sometimes when you’re in a position it’s OK to help people that’s in need because not everybody is able in times like this. Read moreVery Very Disappointed. Typically when you walk into a Golden Crust at Other Locations the food at least looks Fresh. This was my first 🚩 that I should have left. The display food looked old and dry. Now I’m Jamaican I knowww food is reheated but this looked 2 days plus. Ordered the Brown Stew (which she did go and replenish from back so this looked better then the first batch that was out) Lunch special with Rice and Peas, my first bite I gagged. Usually I don’t take mediocre food back to restaurants especially if I only paid $8 but Sour Food?? No way that’s an insult, they can prob get away with that in this particular area, with the people thinking that’s how it should taste. . I go back in with hesitation because one of the women already bad up some on on the phone while we were in there 🚩 but I tried to discreetly show them the rice but the lady just asked me what happen from the rice pot and me by the register so I said the rice may be off, she tries it and says it taste that way because it’s parboiled 👀🚩 Now I get it there were customers there so you can’t undermine the brand but if anything come take food and refund but not even a care so I threw away the food inside and walked out because I’m not going to argue about Bad food, but the owner of this franchise needs to TLC this place because it’s by far the worst one. . In addition be aware the flip the service fees back on the customer without posting it. Owner/Manager please check the cameras and hopefully you see the quality of food being served. Read moreALL of the food looks like it's been sitting for hours,looked old...I went after 730pm and I asked was there any fresh food & she said the cook left at 2pm...My question is why are you guys selling good that's been sitting ALL DAY, not even stirred, just sitting, dried up EVERYTHING, NOT 1 THING WAS FRESH....This almost makes you want to check the kitchen. And you can tell it's been sitting there when she had to search around to find whatever little curry goat she could..SMH
In Response to the restaurants response: That is STILL NO EXCUSE for selling Old food to customers that's been sitting (Not Even Stirred)with rings around the pans they sit in and every last one was dried out with crust on top, I've been to SEVERAL restaurants and restaurants that take pride in their food and customer service, No matter what time it is would NEVER let that happen . So Thank you, but no Thank you!
5/11/19 Tried this location again, walked in no greeting, but everyone else that walked in after me (That was Jamaican was greeted) ..Moving forward , I waled out, they literally had a pan sitting directly on top of the food (chicken) how unsanitary is that!! How do you expect people to eat that when you just sit things on top of the food. It's like Golden Krust and Wing stop are running a race on who can have the worst service..SMH I ended up going to Charlies...
