I booked a mother-daughter session (also called the "BFF session") at Planet Massage for my wife and daughter, hoping to give them a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, it turned into a disappointing and uncomfortable ordeal. During my wife’s massage, the male therapist sneezed or coughed directly on her, which she described as feeling like a mist of droplets raining down on her. That alone is unacceptable, but it gets worse. While massaging her with two hands, the therapist would frequently switch to using only one hand, and it became evident that he was using his phone. At one point, my wife shifted her leg, and the phone fell to the floor, confirming her suspicions. This raises serious concerns for me: 1.Presence of a Minor in the Room: My daughter, a minor, was in the room during this session. Phones have no place in a massage session, especially in the presence of a half-naked minor. It’s unsettling to think there’s even a slight possibility of photos being taken. 2.Lack of Attention and Hygiene: If the therapist is busy with a phone, how is their focus on providing a proper massage? Additionally, touching a phone and then touching a client’s skin is unsanitary and completely unprofessional. Adding to the disappointment, I had specifically upgraded my wife’s session with hot stones for $15 as an option duing the pre-session paperwork. While I wasn’t charged for it, the service wasn’t delivered, which completely undermined the experience I intended as a gift. To make matters even worse, the therapist had the audacity to ask my wife for an additional tip after the session, despite gratuity having already been provided ahead of time when I paid. This left my wife feeling pressured and uncomfortable in an already unpleasant situation. When I tried to address these concerns, I realized I was speaking to the very therapist responsible for this situation. Unsurprisingly, I received nothing but excuses. He justified his actions by claiming sneezing and coughing can’t be controlled (true, but basic courtesy and professionalism dictate not doing so over a client). He also claimed the phone was necessary to monitor incoming calls. While I understand that bodily functions are natural, sneezing or coughing directly on a client is beyond unprofessional. Masks were noted as an option in the pre-appointment email, perhaps they should be a requirement to prevent situations like this. As a so-called resolution, they offered my wife an additional 30 minutes on the house and the option to see a female therapist next time. This does not come close to addressing the issues at hand, nor does it rebuild any trust. My money and my family’s well-being won’t be spent here again. I strongly recommend others look elsewhere for their massage needs, as professionalism, hygiene, and customer care clearly aren’t priorities at Planet Massage.

Wow, J Alex, my masseuse, was fantastic! Talk about “small but mighty”! She worked hard for almost 90 minutes, spending just the right amount of time in the areas I needed most, while leaving time to cover the other areas too. I left feeling superb, worked over, relaxed, and energized. I started with 30 min in the infrared sauna. Cleaned off the sweat with some wet hand towels and then some dry towels. By the time I was outside in the afternoon breeze (low humidity thankfully), I was no longer sweating. I wish they had a shower there, but they don’t…it worked out just fine. The location isn’t much to talk about. Neither is the inside or even the “tiki garden”…but those are merely superficial issues. I was there for a massage and damn did J Alex come through! Somehow the chimes, the crunch of the gravel underfoot, and the gentle breeze made the outdoor massage even better. I’ll be back. The pics were taken after the massage, so don’t judge the messy sheets!

Mark at Planet Massage has changed my life. I have been in the area for about 12 years, chronic upper/lower back and neck pain. I was skeptical because I always went to the chain places like Massage Envy, severely disappointed. I thought massage wasn’t worth it. I couldn’t have been more wrong… The second I stepped in Planet Massage I felt welcomed and warm. Told them my ailments and they prescribed a catered massage just for me. They didn’t work on the areas that I thought were the problem. They worked on the areas they KNEW were the problem…and I walked out of there like a new woman. I go back as much as I can and it’s the best part of my month. Do yourself a favor and don’t guess on where is best. They are local legends!

An Unforgettable, Luxurious Massage Experience

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I had the immense pleasure of receiving a full body massage from Dominique, and I must say, it was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil setting, I was instantly enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and relaxation. But what truly sets this experience apart is Dominique's exceptional skill and intuitive touch.

Right from the beginning, Dominique made me feel comfortable and at ease. Their attention to detail, coupled with their warm and friendly demeanor, established an immediate sense of trust. The massage itself was a sublime journey, customized to target my specific needs and problem areas. Dominique's expertise shone through in their ability to seamlessly blend various techniques, leaving me feeling thoroughly rejuvenated and tension-free.

As the massage progressed, I could feel Dominique's intuitive understanding of my body's needs. They seemed to know precisely which muscles required extra attention and gently worked on those areas to release any tightness or knots. The perfect balance between firm pressure and soothing strokes left me in a state of utter bliss.

Moreover, Dominique's deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology was evident throughout the session. They skillfully manipulated my muscles and connective tissues, promoting improved circulation and overall wellness. I was particularly impressed with how they addressed my chronic lower back pain, providing relief that I hadn't experienced in years.

The rhythmic and fluid motions of Dominique's hands melted away every ounce of stress in my body. They were incredibly attentive to my needs, applying just the right amount of pressure and making adjustments when necessary. Not only did the massage relieve my aches and pains, but it also left me with a deep sense of relaxation that lingered long after the session was over.

The ambiance of the massage room only enhanced my experience. Soft lighting, soothing music, and the subtle aroma of essential oils created a truly immersive environment. I could tell that Dominique had carefully curated every aspect of the space to maximize relaxation and induce a meditative state.

Furthermore, Dominique's professionalism extended well beyond the massage itself. They provided thoughtful aftercare advice, including stretches and self-care tips to maintain the benefits of the massage in the days that followed. Their dedication to ensuring my long-term well-being was genuinely heartwarming.

What makes Dominique stand out is their passion for their craft. It's evident that they have a genuine love for massage therapy and the healing benefits it provides. This passion translates into a truly transformative experience for their clients, leaving them refreshed and revitalized on every level.

In addition to the exceptional massage, I appreciated the ease of booking and the warm welcome I received upon arrival. The entire process was seamless and hassle-free, allowing me to fully focus on my relaxation and healing. It's clear that client satisfaction is a top priority for Dominique and their team.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dominique for anyone seeking an unparalleled massage experience. Their professionalism, exceptional talent, and genuine care for their clients' well-being make them stand out from the rest. If you're in need of some rejuvenation, don't hesitate to book a session with Dominique. Trust me, your body and mind...

Edit: I requested an 1 hour massage, got 45 minutes of hands on time... but the owner says I got 15 minutes more than I was supposed to.... what a weird reply. So I guess I was lucky and most people get only 30 minutes of hands on time... I wouldn't say yall strive for a full hour then...

1pm appointment. Got told not to get there too early because no one was there... Got there 4 mins before appointment. Waited 45 seconds, someone opened the window. I let them know i needed to use the rest room real quick before going in... got told itll be a few mins because they needed to set up. A couple more minutes I was aloud outback. Got to the rest room, was extremely quick. Got into the room and went over real quick what I had issues with. I've had hundreds of massages and been to many places so I know how to go through things quickly with explaining pain. Then explained That I just wanted my feet done and a little leg work... had my shoes off and such waiting to get on the table.... finally was done talking so I was aloud to get on... laid there for a good 5 mins waiting.... massager didn't get into the room until 1:10... looked at his phone when. He came in and I saw what time it was... then i got the essential oils on a silky fabric to out over my face. Started on 1 foot... then took several minutes leaving the room and going back in forth in different draws or something getting stuff.... the vibrating machine was nice. Then used something that felt like it was going to cut into my skin... I had previously told him I am on vacation and wanted to relive pain from my feet and relax... I got icy hot sprayed on them... so now I'll have a burning sensation while trying to enjoy the rest of my day doing things. On the website it says best foot massage.... I got maybe 45 mins of a massage... that was mostly on my legs and not my feet like I wanted... because he came in the room for 1:10... but was done the massage at 1:59... cuz i laid there for a couple minutes on the bed. When I got up I watched my phone turn 2:02.... So with that ans the going out and back n forth for things... not impressed. So now my hips hurt, my calves hurt a bit less... my feet still hurt since there was basically no work done on them, except the tops of them... and even after scrubbing this crap off my feet are burning!!! What a miserable way to spend the rest of my vacation day ... maybe have good body massages.... but definitely not one of the best foot...
