The Thrive Art District is a 5 Acre, 3 block former warehouse area in the Progresso Village of Ft. Lauderdale near Sunrise Blvd. In 2019, brothers Jonathan and Abraham Fish had a vision to transform an industrial warehouse area into a art district that would engage people with art and the surrounding environment. The brothers purchased 10 warehouses pre-pandemic and spent 10 million dollars transforming them into Thrive. After four years of development, Thrive Art District opened in 2023.
The Thrive Art District has 38 low-rent art studios, coffeehouse, indie record store, and the craft beerhouse, Uncommon Path Brewing. The centerpiece of Thrive is a music square hosting concerts and events. Surrounding the square are a number of interesting murals on the art studios and businesses. Some of the former FAT Village artists have migrated to Thrive since it began accepting tenants in 2022.
Events held here include Freshly Squeezed DJ Live Set, Pilates Strength with Blue Diamond Fitness, and Artwalk. Check out the Thrive website for dates and times. I came to the Saturday night Wheels & Paws Car Show which raises money for 1 Lucky Dog Recue. They had cars on display along with vendors selling food, drinks, and car and dog related items. It is a fun event for a good cause. I look forward to coming back to check out the brewery which looked very nice. This area has an up and coming vibe and I have no doubt it will be 5 stars once some more...
Read moreThrive District Art Walks have become the 'go to' place on the last Saturday of the month for a fun and interesting evening. It's a wonderful venue for artists both established as well as emerging. Two blocks of galleries provide a variety of art, plus vendors and street entertainment. As an artist, I've been involved with Thrive for the past six months. I've met some wonderful people, looked at some amazing art and made new friends. I've watched Thrive grow due to the enthusiasm and hard work (plus her own creative energy) of Katrina Moldova. She's done a fantastic job. More importantly, Thrive has helped to create a true sense of community among...
Read moreI had my first art install at Thrive in June. Katrina was amazing in helping me setup. The space is clean, air conditioned and has a bathroom. She does a great job of posting everyone on social and creating events that will bring people from collectors to people walking their pets to parents needing to amuse thier kids for a few hours. There is something for everyone. As an exhibitor, I have met amazing fellow artists that inspire and support each other. Great community. I encourage any artist to come and be apart of a...
