I finally decided to let my Gamestop Powerup Rewards Pro membership expire today after a mostly steady two years of use, following the semi-recent end of a perk loophole that never should have been allowed but was too good to pass up while it lasted. As most frequent shoppers know, each month, Pro members may redeem a $5 in-store coupon on one purchase of over $5, and that is mostly still the case, but the eligible items have been reasonably restricted to disqualify Playstation Network gift/currency cards. I almost exclusively used this perk to buy a $10 PSN top ups at half off once a month, and that reasonably fed my PSN digital game sales shopping impulse buys for many double dip-discounted indies that I wouldn't have purchased otherwise. With that option severed, my monthly reward went unused roughly half of the time afterward because I just don't buy actual Gamestop games or other eligible items at retail (even used) price often enough for the $25 annual membership fee to be worth it.

When we got to the register they said they were out, even though we were the sixth person in line. They said they never got them in. But promise that they would fix us later. we called every week for three months. And never received the statue. On the third month. Oh, they started saying that they didn't know what we were talking about. This year for Black Friday we waited in line for a game that we were told they had. Once we were ready to pay they could not find the box. they had the disk with our other games at the register. And they said they would go looking for the box. Please wait to decide is what they said while we find your box. We waited to the side, only to be told later that they would not sell us the game because another customer further down in line had that box. I bought 2 games for almost $30 the day before yesterday took them back today to exchange for a different game and they would only give me $6. The guy named shawn at first tried to charge me $51 for the game that I was exchanging the other games for that was clearly marked $30 then he said oh I was charging you for a new game. So I just got my money back for the 2 games and bought the game I wanted. While we were in the middle of all this he calls another guy up that was behind me and started waiting on him and I was like hey your not done with me yet. And he was like oh I was just trying to get him out of the store. And I said you should be getting me out the door first cause I was here before him.
