Garrison Goodies — Attraction in Fort Smith

I went to Garrison Goodies after seeing the chocolate covered pickle on the Big Dill... I messaged them on facebook to make sure they had what I wanted in stock, and they called me and let me order in advance since the drive was just over an hour. The owner was great to work with - she made other suggestions based on my interests and while the store was slammed when I got there on Saturday morning she was efficient on serving all the customers... Once i was ready to check out, I only had to wait for one other customer - and she had my order ready. As we checked out she suggested other things to do in Fort Smith and was a great resource.

We got some fresh truffles, chocolate covered pickles and a variety of dehydrated candy.. they also had international snacks like chips etc.. The items were things you would not find anywhere else.. a few things seemed a little expensive - but for the nostalgia and selection not out of line. I placed an order one day ahead and had rented an Airbnb within a 7min walking distance so I went to pick it up. Had to walk through unhoused people fighting to get it and back. Once at the rental I noticed they gave me the wrong Apple. I had to walk through these fighting people again to switch out the apples. All of this in 94 degree Arkansas heat. I didn’t check the order because again, I placed it a day ahead. The girl examined the Apple I returned as if I was in the wrong and all I got was an in sorry. This place really made my day. Not only does it give the old fashion candy store vibes but the service is amazing. I have an egg allergy so I usually have a hard time finding fudge that’s made somewhere where it doesn’t cross contaminate or contain egg. The employee and the manager went above and beyond to make triple sure anything I wanted was egg free. I usually leave a lot of places feeling like I annoyed someone because of my allergy and all my questions, and these ladies really made me feel like a friend and cared!!
