So we was told free for my son over the phone because it was his first time. I get us there because it was only few hrs to shut down and I'm told $4 for me, all day I've been using change I saved up to take my son to these places that I got to see. I had quarters, dimes. Every place we went accepted the change and we had a great time. But we get to the trolley and I told two people at the desk I only have change, they completely ignored what I said and I was told to go around and we wait. The trolley guy came through and made me and my son wait for like 5 mins while he took other people around. Came back I said I got change $4 worth and he literally said ehh can't and I said Infront of everyone I feel like you don't want us to ride just because I have change. My son is just looking at me like when r we gonna go. The guy took my change after I made my point and when I tried to hand him my son's free pass card he denied it and I said this is for my son to ride for free and he looked at me then took it. I was not ER TO SHOW THAT KINDA happy with how your trolley driver was you should NEVER EVER JUSGE SOMEONE BASED ON WHAT THEY HAVE OR WHO THEY ARE. JUST BECAUSE I HAD $4 IN CHANGE DONT CHANGE ANYTHING AND SHOULDN'T AND IT WAS WRONG FOR YOUR TROLLEY DRIVER TO SHOW THAT KINDA ROLE MODEL TO CHILDERN, ITS NOT OKAY TO DENY SOMEONE WHEN THEY HAVE MONEY, ITS NOT AGAINST TROLLEY RULES TO PAY WOTH CHANGE, IF YALL DONT LIKE CHANGE THEN PUT A SIGN UP THAT SAYS CASH ONLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CITY. BUT I DONT FEEL WE WAS TREATED FAIRLY, HE TOOK CASH FROM EVERYONE ELSE AND LEFT US LAST. HOW RUDE AND WRONG, BUT ILL INFORM YOU I COME FROM A VERY NICE FAMILY WHO OWNS TOWNS AND LAND AND JOBS AND WE RUN THEM. I AINT SOME KINDA POOR PERSON AND TO PUT HIGHER UPS BEFOFE OTHERS JUST BASED OFF OF WHAT THEY HAD IN MONEY WAS WRONG. This trolley driver will not ever work for my business, workers should be kind to all and not pick and...

10/10 would not recommend. Probably had one of the WEIRDEST experiences I have EVER had in my life at the trolley museum. First thing we were greeted with upon walking up to the front door was a woman walking outside and "shooing" a group of homeless people away from the bench outside. We walked inside and was immediately hit in the face by the smell of cat urine, and cat poo. I counted at least seven litter boxes on the floor and a plethora of cats just aimlessly walking around. In the back where the trolley "store" was and some old trolley uniforms were displayed was the bucket full of dirty water that had been spilled all over the floor. But that was only the start of this wonderful journey. The lady working the entrance called the trolley down so we could ride it, and then proceeded to tell us all about how we will experience "heaven" and then "hell" while riding the trolley. She said as the trolley passes through town, we'll see "hell on Earth" and then as we go through "Hell on Earth" we'll ascend back into the "Heaven" and we will "see the face of God shining down on us from the sky" as we returned to the museum. Now I am a religious person, but this experience made me uncomfortable. She also shared more details about her life than what made me comfortable. By the time the trolley arrived, my party and I were a little freaked out we said sorry and left. Fort Smith, PLEASE put funding into this place. It could truly be something amazing, but right now, I wouldn't recommend it...

This was my first visit to Ft. Smith and to the Trolley Museum for the fall tractor show...while intrigued to see the trolley barn and items outside, there was not much of a museum feel. It was more like a cat rescue that was situated in an old trolley/rail yard. The trolley ride was neat, tho beware the windows if you open them...little fingers could get easily smooshed as they fall down randomly. The squeaking of the trolley on the tracks also had grown adults covering their ears, so hopefully they can get the cars lubed up soon. Most dismaying however, was walking into the gift shop building and the overwhelming smell of cat urine and fecal matter...and not only the smell, but seeing it there all over the floor (on a big day for the museum, no less!) Going back I see many similar reviews/comments which have noted the same problem over the years, so anyone with cat or animal allergies...

I have enough time to type this right now on the trolley because the conductor won't stop talking and stopping the trolley every 5 seconds after moving. I get that you're probably trying the extend the ride but not like this... it's almost like a slow torture method. No knock on those who enjoy that type of stuff, but we came here and paid for a RIDE, not for a very very dull history lecture. You can literally operate the trolley and drop facts along the way like a normal guided tour. Also, thankfully the windows were able to open and we were able to get some breeze or we would've roasted alive in the heat as the trolley is close to a hundred years old. Oh there are also some train cars and locomotives parked around with varying degrees of upkeep (FRISCO was nice), can't go inside of any though. Come here only if you're a huge train fanatic.

It was very enjoyable and a nice place if you have kids. The Vintage locomotives and train cars were very interesting to inspect and see how large they actually were in person was astonishing. We went on a sweet treat Sunday so we received a ice cream sundae with a big old chocolate chip cookie which I could never turn down the conductors of the trolleys were very informative and friendly. Be sure to see the trolley cats. The museum gift shop was rather small and the information was limited inside the museum. The trolley rides on both trolleys were relatively short, less than five minutes a piece and it would be nicer to have a extended ride around the town of Fort Smith. However we had a blast and unlimited trolley rides in a ice cream sundae for five bucks was a steal.
