The heater didn't work in the room, but the bathtub was amazing! I wish I had more time there so I could've enjoyed the bed more, but I fell asleep in that dream tub! Though the room did NOT have a microwave. It had a fridge, a coffee maker, but no microwave. Which really sucked when I got into the room after driving for 8 hours just to find out that I had to get dressed and ready just to go back to the front desk to cook my meal, then carry that extremely hot thing back to my room without dropping it as I was burning myself. Other than that, the service at night wasn't great. The person there couldn't have cared less if we were there, she seemed more annoyed than I was there to check in and grab something to eat. I felt like more of a bother than a customer. I didn't expect much, but for the amount that was paid for the room, definitely expected a better selection than what was offered in the cramped partial cubby hole they offered. It was very uncomfortable trying to pick out something while someone else was cooking their meal. What was ironic was that they sold bagged ramen, but no bowl. Plus a lot of the stuff they had was spicy and/or cheesy. Which is no bueno for my stomach issues. The day shift was a lot nicer. Especially the barista at the little Starbucks they had and the cleaning woman who dreamt of having the ability to retire, yet couldn't because she wouldn't be able to afford to live. She was cleaning the automatic doors when we had a chat. I hope I'm able to have that much energy when I'm her age. Unfortunately my mother told me she had the same issue with the person at the front desk as we did the night before. Apparently that person's attitude still sucked. I get that customers can be overbearing, crazy, rude, and entitled at times, yet that does not mean it's okay to treat every customer as if they are ALL going to be that way. Would've been nice to get a smile when I said thank you and have a wonderful night. Instead it was an irritated look that was fighting an eye roll. Having a bad shift doesn't give you an excuse for that type of attitude/behavior. I would've given a 5 star if it wasn't for 3 things, the front desk person who checked me and my mother in that evening. The small selection of snacks in a place that expensive. (Could've at least had cup of soup, or crackers. At least something that wasn't spicy and/or cheesy. Even the ramen was fiery chicken flavored!) and the lack of a microwave in the room. The "community microwave" by the front desk was annoying and like I said, there was nothing to put the food on. I had to put my food back into the box it came in and carried the box using my nails. I did burn my fingers on the way back to my room. Hopefully the hotel treats the nice staff, especially that cleaning lady who was on her toes cleaning the windows and the barista. Whoever is in charge of the people in the front desk, talk to your staff, especially the bigger lady with...
Read moreFirst a good shout out about this location! Alysa at the front desk was the only competent person working here so thank you! I am a veteran and was using that for a single night stay for a standard room. Alysa offered for just a few extra dollars ( $5.00 extra) we could get breakfast coupons to use the next morning, great and Thank you! We then head to our room where we found some trash in the corner of the room, not good. Then the next day breakfast was a total wreck!! We attempted to make coffee in our room but the coffee maker did NOT work. Messed with this for a bit then moved on downstairs to get some breakfast. On the back of out breakfast coupon was a short menu and we had made some decisions off of that coupon that was paid for!! When we arrived at the Bristro ( ha!! What a joke!) There was a short line and the person in front of us was ordering the same things we were interested in on the back of the coupon. No, she was flat at told NO that they have not updated their card so please order something else. The woman behind the counter was WAY out of her element! She had some kind of radio communication with the kitchen and she started yelling at the kitchen staff!! Then a nice woman with the kitchen staff arrived to start answering questions. She said no to what we all wanted but then offered an option, a burrito. GREAT, we all agreed that this will be a suitable substitute. My husband wanted to purchase some fruit, and the woman said NO we could not have it with the coupon. No purchase it!! Oh ok...he was looking at the $7.00 fruit box and it was cut up 3 days prior!! No thanks. Want to purchase some yogurt 5 oz, $5.99!! Eventually our burritos arrive!! Very hard tortillas with brown marks on the outside, cut into them and ICE COLD INSIDE!! Good grief waited 15 min for a cold burrito! 🤦♀️🤦♀️ So we took matters in our own hands because there was a large line starting to form. My husband went to the front desk to inquire about a microwave?? There was a woman in the back office talking so loudly and no one at the front desk. "Pardon me, excuse me, hello?" She popped her head out of the office and said YES!!! "Where can I find a microwave?" She points!! Not a word!! Points!! So..now we heat up our hard burritos!! Yummy! These usually cost $15.00!! We left very disappointed about this entire experience! If and when we come back to Fort Smith we will NOT be staying at this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of having breakfast at the hotel bistro during my stay, were Jeniffer and the bistro cook Payton who did offer amazing culinary experience. From the warm and inviting ambiance to the impeccable service, from all the staff to include every aspect of hotel staff which included from the lobby receptionist (Nicole) to the management and rest of the staff, who ask if everything was ok. and I stayed there for 6 nights. Another thing to mentioned while a was in the lobby Ms. Carolyn who works there for many years express her passions for serving others in same location for many years super nice lady.
The highlight of my dining experience was the incredibly friendly and attentive server who went above and beyond to make my meal enjoyable. Their genuine warmth and enthusiasm added a personal touch that made me feel truly welcome.
One of the standout features of the bistro was the commendable effort they put into catering to a healthy diet. As someone who values nutritious options, I was delighted to find a variety of choices that perfectly aligned with my preferences. The menu boasted a range of options, but what truly stole the show for me was the breakfast bowl.
The kale, quinoa, eggs, and tomatoes came together in a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that left my taste buds dancing with delight. It was not only a nutritious choice but also a delicious one, proving that healthy eating can be both satisfying and indulgent. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and it was clear that the chef takes pride in crafting dishes that are as visually appealing as they are tasty.
While the breakfast burritos were also tempting and flavorful, the breakfast bowl stood out as my absolute favorite. The thoughtful combination of superfoods made for a wholesome and fulfilling start to my day.
In addition to the delectable food, the bistro's ambiance provided a cozy and relaxed setting. Whether you're a solo traveler looking for a quiet meal or a couple seeking a romantic dinner, the bistro's atmosphere caters to various preferences.
In conclusion, the hotel bistro, with its friendly staff and commitment to healthy dining options, exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this culinary gem to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience during their stay. My sincere thanks to the chef and the exceptional server who made my time at the bistro...
