Fifth Street Cafe in Fort Smith is a hidden gem that exceeded our breakfast expectations. Nestled in the heart of Fort Smith, this charming cafe offers a delightful culinary experience that left us craving for more.

Our breakfast adventure began with "Doug's Breakfast Sandwich." This sandwich was a hearty masterpiece, featuring perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese, all nestled between a toasted bread. The flavors melded together beautifully, making it an instant favorite.

Next up was "Chicken and Waffles." The combination of crispy, tender fried chicken and warm, fluffy waffles was simply heavenly. Drizzled with maple syrup, this dish achieved the perfect balance of sweet and savory. It was a symphony of flavors that left us wanting more.

We couldn't resist trying the "Denver Omelet." Packed with diced ham, bell peppers, onions, and melted cheese, this omelet was a delightful blend of textures and tastes. It was a savory sensation that showcased the skill of the kitchen.

The ambiance at Fifth Street Cafe was equally delightful. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere provided the ideal backdrop for a relaxing breakfast outing. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch.

In summary, Fifth Street Cafe in Fort Smith is a breakfast haven that delivers on taste, quality, and atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of classic breakfast sandwiches, indulgent chicken and waffles, or flavorful omelets, this cafe has something for everyone. We left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces, eager to return for another culinary adventure at this...

Took one look at the kitchen and the cook and instantly regretted ordering my takeout. Pure unorganized, unsanitary, and unsettling chaos. The cook sweaty and unfavorable, doing everything you can think up but washing his hands as he touchs everything in and out of the kitchen including the food! Without gloves! I wanted to puke when he wiped his sweaty hand, grabbed his glasses as he worked the register to help with the card reader, and then went to roll some guy’s burrito. My meals were botched and missing things but I stopped caring about what I paid for after I saw him touch raw chicken, then chips, and then a sandwich with no gloves and still hadn’t washed his hands. How code adding this missing jalapeño make this any better. I can go on and on about this careless guy, but on to the food… trash. I think the only thing that might not come in a package as premade processed crap is the eggs and bacon. Messed up every meal we ordered twice. And still was missing stuff when we left. This was the first time I actually went into the place but this isn’t our first time ordering. There’s always something wrong when we get our food so I figured I’d go in this time to make sure they got it right but man… these people can’t get right. Taffer would implode if he had to show up here. I will not be back. Rest assured 5th street cafe I will not leave another review because you couldn’t pay me to...

I’ve eaten here twice so far and both times it was delicious. Their French Dip is spot on with tender well seasoned beef on a fresh French roll and flavorful au jus and crispy crinkle-cut fries. The wet burrito is massive, filled to the brim with fresh ingredients and covered in their super tasty white cheese sauce, and was big enough to take 1/2 home for my 4th meal 😃.

They have a large diversified menu from breakfast to burgers to low carb menu and I saw veggie nachos on there so that’s at least 1 vegetarian option. Been hearing the burgers are delish so I’ll probably have one of those on my next visit because I plan on making this a regular downtown dining experience for myself.

They’ve got a good bottled beer selection and some really scrumptious cane sugar “Stubborn” brand sodas with unique flavor combos you don’t really find elsewhere downtown.

Lastly the place has very comfortable seating, is very clean, and has great big windows for people watching on the avenue. The servers I had were Cassandra and Chelsea and they are oh so sweet and courteous. The chef even came by and said hello and made sure everything tasted good!

I highly recommend 5th Street Cafe! An excellent addition to...

This new restaurant was brought to my attention by a friend of mine. So, after some Farmer’s Market and antique shopping I decided to stop in for lunch. It definitely has a “cafe” feel to it. Nothing fancy but clean, which I appreciate. Considering it’s a smaller restaurant they have a pretty good size menu. If you like soda made with pure cane sugar they serve “stubborn” and it was pretty tasty. So we order the chips and queso dip. When they arrived it was obvious the chips were straight from a bag I could have picked up at Walmart so I didn’t have much hope for the queso dip but boy was I wrong! These queso dip was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I would absolutely return just to have some more dip. We also order grilled fish taco and Thai style tacos. After going back to check with kitchen as to what Thai style was the waitress did a nice job explaining it. So good we ordered it. Only to be told a few minutes later they didn’t have it that day. You think they would have told her that when she was asking about it. Oh well. We both got the grilled fish tacos (street style) and were not disappointed. These were seriously flavorful taco. The beans were just so so. Overall, a good visit and I’ll definitely return.

A quaint little diner/cafe on the corner of 5th St and Garrison. The first time I ate there I had the philly cheese steak and fries. The philly is actually made with pot roast which I didn't expect, but it was really good. The meat was stacked on heavy and I wish I would've paid extra for the veggies. The fries were crinkle cut and lightly seasoned. The second time I stopped by I got the Western burger with fries. All of their burgers are made with black Angus beef and quite delicious. This one had onion rings and was topped with bbq sauce. It was a great combination. The atmosphere is quiet and not too busy, and the environment is what you would expect, simple. I enjoyed sitting at the bar seating in front of the large storefront window and watching the flow of traffic go bye. And the wait staff is friendly and casual. Edit: also had the chicken and waffles recently and it was delicious!
