I CANNOT RECOMMEND STUCKY BROTHERS ANYMORE
I've been in the cabinet, countertop and flooring business for over 45 years. I would always refer Stucky Brothers to my customers when looking for appliances.
In 2021 I built a new home. I ordered Frigidaire Pro Series refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.in advance to have delivered to my house the end of October 2021 for my move in on November 1,2021. The delivery was bad from the start. The driver pulled into the wrong drive and decided to drive across the yards to my driveway. When my neighbor confronted him about it, the driver told my neighbor to "F" himself. Then left my house without leaving the appliances. The store sent out another truck with my appliances. When the refrigerator was brought in the house all 3 doors were dented up. I called the store and was told they could get me replacement doors quicker than a different refrigerator. I was relucent but agreed to replacement doors. The replacement doors came within 6 weeks and were installed. At first, they looked good, but after a few months uniformed dimples and wavey indents started to appear. {photos attached} This same issue kept happening 3 different times over the past 3 years until finally the Frigidaire Rep admitted that Frigidaire was aware they had a problem and switched to a new supplier and assured me I would not have this problem with the 4th set being sent. Also, the service tech that was sent to install the 3rd set of doors, was the first one to ask if my refrigerator was always that loud went it was running. I stated that I noticed it but I have a very open house, and things echo a lot. He checked things out and discovered that the fan blade that helps cool the condenser was not attached and was surprised that it hadn't burnt up yet. This adds another concern to how long will this refrigerator last. Set #4 came and currently look good ""EXCEPT"" the waster dispenser door. [See attached photo} 2 dents in door. Door #5 was worse than before. I received an email from Cevin {Stucky's service manager} that Frigidaire was refusing to send them anymore doors and if I didn't like that, I would have to deal with Frigidaire directly. I state to Cevin several times that I didn't buy the refrigerator directly from the factory I bought it from Stucky's, and they need to take care of the problem that I have been dealing with for 3 years from the beginning. I have requested several times to have a meeting with the owner of Stucky's Bill Shuee and the Rep from Frigidaire but as to date they both are refusing to meet with me to find a resolution that would be agreeable to all parties. This is not how I take care of my customers and I'm sure that Celvin, Bill Shuee and the Rep from Frigidaire would except this in their homes. Apparently, Stucky's would prefer to ignore this and hope I will go away. They are leaving me no choose but to take this...
Read moreHistorically, I have made major appliance purchases at big box stores. In Spring 2024 when I needed a new refrigerator, I wanted to support a local business and also speak to someone who was an expert in the product features. I wanted a name brand product with a direct line into support and service.
The sales experience was good. They have a lot of models on the floor to compare and choose from, and the associate I worked with was knowledgable about the features, pros and cons, etc. I purchased a Frigidaire with a mid-level drawer and a freezer drawer on the bottom. Note that one of the major reasons we upgraded was because our previous ice machine in our previous fridge cracked and broke.
Within the first three months, I noticed that the ice maker was slow. The ice tray was never filled to capacity, and it produced about 20 cubes every 2 hours. A service technician visited and confirmed that the fridge was working as normal, and these units just don't produce much ice. I accepted this as rationale for the low ice production. I was disappointed, but it is what it is.
A few weeks later, I noticed the ice maker was producing even less ice. I was lucky to get one drop of 20 cubes per day. Over the course of my one-year warranty, I had service out 2-3 more times just for the ice maker. Even though the ice functionality was gradually decreasing, I was told each time that this was normal. It was suggested that I purchase a separate ice machine.
Fast forward to now, August of 2025, we get maybe one drop of 20 cubes per week. I purchased plastic ice trays to make my own ice. I assume Service would tell me that I am prohibiting the fridge from making ice because I am manually filling up the bin, but we went several days on end without any ice being made before I threw in the towel and started making my own. We've confirmed that it's just not working as it should.
Further, the only place where ice is being made now is along the left side of the fridge along the seal, and along the freezer drawer hinges - both next to the ice machine. The ice along the door seal melts on occasion and leaves a puddle on the floor.
As I am out of the warranty period and no resolution from Stuckey, I am unfortunately writing this review. The experience did not meet my expectation, which I don't feel was excessive. I am now looking at ice machines, but not at Stuckey. Going forward, I will revisit the big box or a different local business, and most likely purchase a cheap model, in which I won't be as mad...
Read moreI purchased brand new Frigidaire appliances for my entire house in March 2013. I have two instances from my purchase that convince me never to go back.
#1 I placed a $1000 dollar deposit the day before delivery. I was at work the day they delivered my appliances, so my fiance was there to let them in. They installed all appliances without any issues, and proceeded to ask her for a check for the remaining balance including delivery charges I was not told about. So I get a phone call in the middle of work telling me that they need the check asap or they will be removing the appliances and i will have to pay twice for delivery. I made a quick phone call to the manager to ask if I could get the check after work. She told me that they didn't have time to wait around on me (the customer) and that i had to be at my house (30 minutes away) in 20 minutes with a cashiers check or she would have them pack up and leave.... Zero understanding for a customer that just spent over $10,000 at your store is unbelieveable.
#2 Today (7/5/2013) So here we are 4 months after purchase of all my new appliances. I just got home from the grocery store to stock my fridge and freezer back up after a 4th of july party. I come home to a warm freezer. The temperature is set by the digital display on the outside. I have it set for 0 degrees, but instead it reads 35 (the actual temperature inside the freezer) I first double checked to make sure the door was closed (it was) and then made a quick call to Stuckey's Service Dept. to ask them to come take a look at it since everything is covered under warranty still. The service manager took my information and told me that they had nobody available to help me because they were working on freezers in the store. The soonest they would be able to bring somebody out was a few days later. I asked what I was supposed to do about all of my food that i just purchased. and that I'd rather not have everything frozen melt. His reply was "thats not my problem, you'll have to call Frigidaire..." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! So now I have to ask around for freezer space for the next few days just so my food doesn't go bad untill they can "free up a service man in the back"
Thank you stuckeys for your "amazing" customer service. I wont be shopping...
