DO NOT GO HERE!!!
If I could give them a zero, I would. I’m a firm believer of doing right by people and always treating people the way you want to be treated and this is not what Cowtown Rover is about. I took my BMW in for a misfire that ended up being coils that needed replacement. This should’ve been an easy fix and nothing that required more than one day. Sam called me and stated that my car was ready to be picked up in 30 minutes. As I was getting ready to leave the house, he calls back and tells me not to be on the way to pick up my BMW and he’d call me back. Two hours goes by with no call back so I decide to call and ask what’s going on. Sam notifies me that his son took my BMW to get washed at a car wash and once he exited the car wash, my BMW died. According to Sam, his son then attempted to start my vehicle and my starter was smoking. At this time, Sam tells me I’ll need a new starter and battery. I’m confused because my BMW is in immaculate condition and didn’t have anything wrong with my battery or starter, and now all of a sudden it does. I’m not happy but I ask Sam, “If you replace the starter and battery, my BMW will be running again, correct?” He assures me it will. We hang up. I do not hear back from him for a while so I decide to call back to check the status of my vehicle. I speak to Sam and he tells me that my BMW is still not running and the engine is locked. At this point, I know they (Cowtown Rover) have done something to my BMW to cause the engine to lock. There is no way that a perfect running BMW that’s been well maintained all of a sudden needs a new starter, new battery, and new engine. Sam stated himself that he’s never had to change out a starter on a BMW x5. And you know why??? Because starters don’t just go out like that in these BMW’s. I spoke to four different professional mechanics in the metroplex, all who work for reputable BMW dealerships and all of them told me that Cowtown Rover is responsible for the occurred incident. They also notified me that starters don’t just go out like that. One specific mechanic notified me that he’s changed out one starter in a BMW in the last 40 years. I then reached out to Sam and tried to give him the chance to make things right and return my BMW in a running condition but he refused stating,“I’m only guilty by association and I will not take responsibility.” I ask myself, “Where’s the integrity and professionalism??” Doesn’t seem like they know what they’re doing. Sam stated they dragged my BMW back to the shop after it died on his son. As a client, how would you feel if you took your car in running and in perfect condition to get fixed and it comes back not running? That was my only vehicle. I gave my extra vehicle to my daughter for college. I was left having to rent a vehicle to get to work for an entire week. That’s not cheap! As a police officer, integrity is something I’m big on. I’ve been to Cowtown Rover for oil changes and a headlight that was out in the past. I was a client and they should’ve fixed their mistake but they refused to. After renting a vehicle for a week, I was forced to buy a new vehicle. All of this could’ve been prevented if Cowtown Rover did right by their client. If they don’t know what the hell they’re doing, don’t mess with the vehicle! It was in Cowtown Rover’s possession when all this happened and they should’ve fixed it! Needless to say, I had to get it towed to a professional so they can run diagnostics on it. So much time and money wasted on top of stress!!! And they will lie to cover their asses!! The truth always comes out! Do not go here!! There’s no integrity, professionalism, or great customer service!! I won’t allow this to happen to another...
Read moreSam and Josh are simply the best. I recently bought a 2002 Range Rover, which had the usual head gasket, ABS, and leaking problems. After calling around all three area Land Rover dealerships, taking it to two separate shops, and calling at least six more indies, I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. All the others were either inexperienced or were going to charge me over $7,000 for the repairs.
When I finally found Cowtown Rover, Sam not only diagnosed the issues within minutes, he offered to fix a few additional preventive maintenance items for a whole package deal significantly cheaper than the rest. He even offered to drop me off at home and picked me up when the car was ready (over 30 minutes each way). When my car was ready for pickup, he found a few more issues pertaining to bad relays, and he just fixed those as part of my deal without additional cost.
Sam and Josh truly care about their customers. They saved me a boat load of money and gave me something even more valuable: peace of mind. I can drive my beautiful machine knowing that it's in great shape, my family is safe, and that I got the best deal in town from the most experience Land Rover mechanics anywhere in the world.
Thank you, Sam and Josh! You guys are way better than the competition, and I will tell everyone to see you, no matter what...
Read moreI recently had my first awesome experience at Cowtown motors. A family member of mine had used Cowtown for a Mercedes and BMW in the past, and last week (11/18/21), I brought my Mercedes in for the the very first time.
Cowtown was amazingly professional, nice to talk to, and incredibly fast on the service. I called them in the morning and brought my car in for an unscheduled appointment. I brought some parts I had purchased myself, and they had no issue using them. Even more so, one of the bulbs I brought wasn't correct, and they replaced it from their own stock without charging me a single cent for it! They've definitely made a customer for life. While I'm sure they can't give away parts to everyone who walks through the door, I was blown away by...
