This was our family's first escape room experience, and it was absolutely amazing! We took a group of two parents and 5 junior high girls, and we were all able to play together and have a blast. This isn't actually an escape room; it's more of a team puzzle challenge, so there isn't any feeling of being "trapped". The puzzles and clues are fun and varied, and everyone on our team was able to valuably contribute. The idea is that your team has 1 hour to complete the objectives and unlock the Pirate chest. You do this by solving one puzzle after after another, unlocking various boxes with secret keys and combinations that you found earlier in the game. There is an in-character guide who is always willing to give you hints if you get stuck, but you have to explicitly knock on the door and ask for help. (I think they made an exception for our group, though. After a full 20 minutes of fiddling with everything and making no real progress, he finally decided we needed some help and directed us to the first item in the long clue chain. That ended up making our game much more enjoyable. Be smart, and ask for the starting clue up front.) We started with the Pirate room, which is supposed to be the easiest room, but there are also other rooms of increasing difficulty. We were just looking for something fun to do after a basketball tournament, but this would also be an excellent activity for a birthday party or a family outing with friends. Make sure you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time because your 1 hour game clock will start exactly 5 minutes after your scheduled start time whether you are ready or not. You can't start the game until all the adults have signed the waivers and everyone on your team has heard the rules read. We will absolutely be doing this again.

Fun but also extremely disappointing… Went here with 2 friends for a bachelorette party. Prepaid for rage room with a video and picture. Everything before and during was awesome, the guy that helped us (I think his name started with a G) was phenomenal and is the only thing saving this from 1 or 2 stars. When he brought us up to the front I saw him trying to ask the women behind the desk if they heard him calling, they said we can’t hear anything up here… there was maybe 10 people in the big lobby area it wasn’t loud. They didn’t turn on the recording or there was an error, regardless they nonchalantly told us there was no video, and we can go back in to take pictures with their camera for printable ones… but we had already gotten out of all the gear. They suggested just calling it even since we used extra items we’d have to pay for. I was just super disappointed, we were so excited to have that recording. The guy back there had taken pics for us with our phones, trying to at least get us those since the front desk wasn’t responding. Like I said it was all fun except that ruined a lot of the experience for us.

Y’all. This place is amazing. I was not even a little interested in escape rooms but my husband wanted to give it a shot and I’m SO glad we came here. We did the train heist for his birthday and ended up signing up for the Poe Adventure before we even left. Now we have done 5 of the 6 current rooms. The staff are sincerely incredible. The rooms are not about actual escape. You are not locked in at all. They are stories that you play through. It’s hard to explain without giving anything away, but it makes it a fun adventure not a stressful claustrophobic IQ test. There is a discount for winners too. The cheesy part? It really is great for team/family building and communication. If our preteen daughter can enjoy working together for an hour then it’s worth every penny. (Not that it is expensive anyway actually!) and lastly, we bring a baby. Crazy? Maybe. BUT most rooms are fairly accessible for a stroller. If you are worried about it, just ask when you schedule. They will tell you about stairs or loud noises etc if you tell them why. Now, GO! *This applies to both the Fort Worth and Arlington locations.

This was our second trip to this location and we love it so much! Me and my friend are avid escape room players, having done around 75 or so around the country, and we are proud to have such a great escape room location so close to our house! As soon as we heard the location was open again after lockdown, we booked immediately! The fact that there is only two of us, means we have to pay an extra 60$ each room we do at this location, but its been much worth it to experience the three of them so far!

The first time we visited we did Witches Tower, as well as the Mafia rooms and loved both of them a lot! We are big sticklers for quality in the rooms we play, meaning fun puzzles, great immersion and story, and so far all 3 we have done so far have been amazing across the board! We have another review from our previous visit my friend wrote last time we came, his Google name being Haiku Tehfox, and this time I thought I'd write one for our second visit!

The Train Heist room specifically we did this visit and we thought it was great! Having all of the puzzles be mechanical is such a nice break from most lock and key puzzle rooms! The scene and setting of the room was very immerrsive and our host only added to our experience! If you would like to see our feedback on the other 2 rooms we have done please see my friends review!

We will be sure to be back to do the pirate room very soon! We are also looking forward to doing the new rooms coming soon to the other locations when they are out! They all look so creative and different. We hope to be picked to test out the newer rooms as we would love to experience them and give our feedback on them, as we have lots of experience under our belt! If you wish to contact me, you can email me at tmerric@gmail.com . I hope you and your family stays safe during these times and we hope to be back again soon!

Thank...

Sorry but we’ll stick with Red Door and Breakout.

I’m really surprised and sad to put a bad review on such a reputable escape room. We’ve done about a dozen escape rooms around DFW and while the building and setup of our room (Train Heist) were nice, the rest was ridiculous compared to our previous experiences.

First, I can’t believe an escape room has to threaten warnings of game stoppage and group removal if the participants are “too rough.” If you say how much force to move an object, that should be sufficient. No other escape room has had to tell us that we’d be kicked out for being too rough.

The two girls there were rude, condescending, and flat out did not seem like they wanted to be there. They gave us hints when we didn’t ask, and ignored us when we did. “I believe you were told not to reach above 6 feet.” That’s a direct quote. I’m sorry but if you have to constantly tell participants like their children to be careful, the puzzles need to be explained or upgraded better. Very unprofessional, ladies.

And while this is not confirmed, the puzzles seemed more triggered by the employees using the cameras rather than the puzzles actually activating releases by themselves. Several times we solved puzzles that took a few minutes to activate the next puzzle.

The “train” while nicely designed, was more progressive than spread out. A lot of other escape rooms let you go after clues in different orders. Here, one puzzle had to be solved before the next could be solved. Which means you could potentially have up to 8-10 people working on the same puzzle instead of everyone working individually to beat the clock… which was not present so you had no idea how much time remained.

Maybe we’ll try...
