Almost had the worst day of my life there. I sat my purse down to gather groceries in my arms and never noticed I didn't have it until I was at check out. It is the perfect sized, cutest little everyday bag with ALL of my life in it and it was gone. I tried not to panic as I explained what happened at the customer service counter, but felt that person wasn't doing enough by calling coworkers to look where I left it, and getting the manager to the front where we were so I headed to where I left my purse. The manager met me and we walked the area where I left it, but no purse! As my imagination went into overdrive, I asked the manager for security level help as we started back to the front. Then a call came across the radio that a customer had turned in a purse! After it was safe in my arms again and after understanding that no one present at the time could do what I requsted to find my purse, I felt good, not great, about the way my emergency was handled.
Many, many thanks to the dear, honest customer who was so nice not to mess up my whole life by taking my purse. Sincere thank yous to the customer service lady, coworkers, and manager who almost received the brunt of my burning anger. I don't know why I was contained and didn't go completely off, but I'm glad I didn't. In the aftermath, the custer sercvice lady was nicer than she needed to be. I really appreciate her for that. I tried to chuckle with the man stocking the shelves in the front area there. I said that my husband must never hear about this, but he wasn't feeling it enough to even smile. I thank him too because he helped make mine a wonderful Sunday night at my...
Read moreI ordered 4 items for their Buy Online Pickup At Store. All but one got cancelled. So before I picked up my item, I decided to look around and see if I could find any of the cancelled items or a substitute. Low and behold I found one of the items that got cancelled. When I went to customer service to pick up the one item that didn't get cancelled, turned out they cancelled all of them! That last item was in store because I had seen 2 of them! So I had to go back and pick it myself. I got a $10 gift card because of them cancelling my items. What I don't understand is, why cancel them when the items are clearly in the store?? Even if they are in the system?! Their excuse: We are still putting Halloween mechandise out. I get it that they are still processing their merchandise but, I would expect them to look for the items even if they are still in boxes. I work in retail and do that exact type of work. If we get an order that our system says we have on hand, we look for it! Even if it is still in the unprocessed freight. I suppose going to the store in person saves you a lot more trouble than shopping online (even though it's simpler) because you will end up just picking the...
Read moreI used to love shopping at this store, but a recent experience left me deeply disappointed. I purchased a piece of luggage and checked out with a cashier, not self-checkout. After leaving the store, however, I noticed that a loss prevention employee followed me all the way to my car. He never spoke to me, but once I became aware of him, he looked away and walked off.
This left me feeling uncomfortable, singled out, and unfairly profiled. As a paying customer, it is disheartening to be treated with suspicion simply for making a purchase. What troubles me further is that I have previously witnessed lighter-skinned customers visibly leaving with unpaid merchandise, without facing the same scrutiny. This makes it clear that bias may have played a role in how I was treated.
I believe it is critical to bring this matter to the attention of both store leadership and corporate so that no customer is ever made to feel targeted because of the color of their skin. All customers deserve respect and fairness, regardless of appearance.
Because of this incident, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this location, which is incredibly disappointing given how much I once valued...
