I Do Not Support the Largest Entities in my area. I have No Desire to support the Conglomerate that puts so Many smaller stores out of business with the "We're the Only Store You Ever Need" mentality. I ALWAYS WANT A CHOICE. I ALWAYS WANT THERE TO BE OTHER OPTIONS NEVER JUST ONE STORE TO FREQUENT. Aldi in one is several Smaller Stores I Fully Support in My Neighborhood. It pleases me a great deal to have several smaller stores that offer very different merch and services than another. I get the opportunity to share my shopping funds with several Smaller neighborhood stores that each have something different to offer. I CAN HONESTLY SAY...I've Never yet purchased an item there that I wanted to return or complain about. I've purchased a Huge Variety of their Many products. I have a number of favorites I go to Aldi, specifically to buy. While I can think of a couple of things it would be nice if they offered, it isn't a huge deal, because there are other places I like to support that already offer great options for purchasing those few items.. I find that I do get good value shopping there. The stores are generally quite clean, prices are quite reasonable, products have proven to be good quality, staff is usually very helpful when needed and they often offer some remarkably unexpected deals on extra items that aren't grocery items, rather household items. There are a totally two of their stores that are equidistant from my residence in different vicntities. I support both often, depending upon where else I need to go in which area and which other stores I support are on that path. One of the Best things about their stores is that I can go in, pick up a number of things or just one item Quite quickly and get checked out in Very Little Time. Another is that Each Wednesday, you can take advantage of their sales for the current week as well as from the prior weekly flier as well. They have a great guarantee, offering replacement of undesirable merch, plus money back for original product purchased. I've been frequenting these stores since both, near me, opened for business. I've Never had to return Anything. I'm quite picky about my purchases but Always want rest quality for my $$$. I was taught Long Ago about Private Labeling, how it works and have Never felt that I Must support a brand rather than private label merch which is often the same quality as the advertised "brand". I think both brothers Must have Been Taught A Great Deal through their Family's business and philosophies. They each have great stores and offer products of good quality. If there were a Trader Joe's near me I would also regularly go there for certain items they Always carry and sometimes more. My only complaint is that there is absolutely No disclosed way to call a store direct to learn if they're out of stock on items at great savings. Although they usually are prepared with plenty of Merch when it's featured in a weekly sale, occasionally some of the best deals do sell out because it is such a great deal that people will buy as many extras of those deals as permitted. Yes, Unlike certain stores in my area, Aldi doesn't allow a Few hoarders to buy so much that there isn't enough left for All customers to have a chance to purchase those highly sought after items. While they aren't the old mom & pop stores of the past they somehow manage to somehow resemble that model in some ways not do they seem to seek putting others out if business. Their merchandising philosophy works well for them and leaves Plenty of room for their neighboring business owners to enjoy success too. I see their philosophy as offerings that support my community rather than taking over my community. I hope they continue to enjoy great success and I Will Contunue to support Both of their stores in the vicentity where I currently live as long as I and they coexist in the same...
Read moreGreat food. A lot of authentic German food specialty items. The best saurekraut! It's firmly packed in jar that you need a fork to pull some out of the jar. Also, barely any juice in the jar. Great prices. Pretty decent gluten-free section too. Having to pay for a grocery sack isn't the best policy. I understand why, but they could at least put some empty boxes up at the sacking station just after the cashiers. I think it's kinda funny to have to put a quarter in the buggy handle. You're given the quarter back when you return the buggy. It would be nice to have to customize service phone line (or a customer service desk) for the public, I have wanted to check their hours on holiday weekends or just their routine Sunday hours. I have needed to call to see if my husband left a bag or shopping list and can never find a number, so he always has to go back to store to get our quesions answered. The receipt doesn't even list hours or a phone number on it. The store runs typically during the week with only 2 to 4 employees working at a time. One the weekends, the number of employees goes up to 5 or 6. I know they are employee run, so they want as little staffing costs as possible. But this is ridiculous to be open for business in the 21st century and not have any forms of the customer calling or returning something since there's no customer...
Read moreI am writing this review with a heavy heart after an upsetting experience I had at your store. During a recent visit, I was helped by a cashier named Kelley. What I witnessed and personally experienced left me feeling deeply disrespected—and, sadly, discriminated against.
As I stood in line with my young children, I watched Kelley warmly greet and engage in friendly small talk with the customer ahead of me. However, when it was our turn, her demeanor shifted completely. She didn’t offer a greeting—not even a glance. I said “Hi” to her, trying to be polite, but she did not acknowledge me or my children at all.
As I bagged my items, I observed her check out two more customers after me—both of whom were white. Again, she was friendly, smiling, and conversational with them. The stark difference in how she treated us was undeniable. The only visible difference between us and the others was the color of our skin.
Ordinarily, I would have spoken up. But I stayed silent in that moment—not out of fear, but to protect my children from witnessing and trying to understand something no child should ever have to: the quiet cruelty of racism.
It’s incredibly painful to feel unwelcome simply for being who you are. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Discrimination—whether overt or subtle—has no place in any business that...
