Very well organized and friendly game store. There are literally hundreds of games lining the walls and always events going on. Great place to place games like Star Wars Armada/Legion, 40k, Killteam, MESBG, or MTG. There's an entire section of D&D books, peripherals and minis as well. This includes other rpgs like Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, One Ring, etc. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about games whether that's board games, rpg, or miniatures and can answer any questions you have on the hobby, or recommend a new game or even a great gift idea. They also have a sale table if you want to peruse some of the older stuff that's phasing out. I was pleasantly surprised to find some Osprey Games books here. Definitely my favorite FLGS in the local area. They recently expanded by consolidating with the space next door, and have almost 7000 sq ft. of space now!

Awesome little game store. Well, it looks little but has thousands of games inside. My interests are tabletop RPGs. Great selection and great prices, too. They even have D&D and Pathfinder pre-painted singles (pictured). Very friendly & helpful staff & patrons. I had difficulty trying to find a parking spot at 5pm but it was because of the fitness gym nearby. I went on a Tuesday for their first ever Pathfinder 2e game. I really enjoyed spending time there and will return for more Pathfinder Society games. It was pretty crowded with MtG players so it was quite noisy, though. They do have canned soda & microwave snacks. I do not know what their "outside food" policy is, but, I'd like to know because there are several decent to-go places nearby. Thanks for a great time!

I went to get a list of cards, because that's how they work. you make a list They check the price and availability of the cards on the list They give you the overall price. Not including the variations on the type of cards you're looking at paying for (which cards cost how much) They expect you to know how much they will charge you before they themselves look up the price, they will ask if you want them to get the cards on the list for the overall price without taking cards off that list of you say no you want to either save your money or take certain cards off that final list price they will flip out at you

I recently visited Mythic Games, and my experience was far from enjoyable. During my visit, one of their regular customers made an inappropriate and offensive comment to my girlfriend, which was completely uncalled for. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing to address the situation, leaving us both feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

If you hold conservative or Christian values, this is definitely not the place for you. They claim to promote "inclusion and diversity," but in reality, it seems more like an excuse to tolerate inappropriate behavior. If this venue is supposed to be a fun and safe environment for all ages, it's clearly missing the mark.

For those looking to casually enjoy Magic: The Gathering drafts, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. The group here is extremely competitive and toxic, which kills any chance of a relaxed and enjoyable experience. I suggest visiting Golden Game Guild instead if you're seeking a more welcoming environment.

Lastly, after reviewing other feedback, it's clear that the owner has a habit of denying negative reviews. For the record, I participated in an official WoC draft and have both my draft log and bank statement proving my visit. I will be taking my business elsewhere...

I'm writing this review as a competitive Magic: the Gathering player. I've played at every major card/hobby store in the front range (I can name 20 stores off the top of my head) and over the last few years Black Gold has easily become my favorite place to play. Mike (owner) has incredible passion for his business and it shows; the store is always well organized (both in physical layout and event structure), clean, and has a very friendly vibe the moment you walk in. They have a massive collection of cards at great prices and every single card in their display cases has a price on it and is sorted alphabetically and by color; that might not sound like a big deal but if you go in looking for a specific card it's always easy to find. They also have an immense selection of board games, both for purchase and opened games that you can pull right off the shelf and start playing. The staff is hard-working and knowledgable and the customers that frequent the store are social, friendly, and welcoming to new players; it's this community that makes Black Gold such an awesome place to hang out during the week. I really can't say enough good things about the store and the effort that the owner puts into it. Go...

The store has way too much stuff in it and it's difficult to move around. The employees are nice enough but they feel like used car salesmen. Always trying to put their hands in your pocket somehow. Their training on customer relations must have been just as predatory as their customer relations are.

Offering 30% of TCGPlayer MID prices when trying to sell cards to them is absolutely diabolical. You'd be better off waiting to use your cards as tinder when the next recession comes.

A lot of the clientele are the bottom of the barrel LGS enjoyers. Gross, rude, and unwelcoming.

I cant NOT, NOT recommend this store enough.

Its turned from everyone's favorite friendly local store to some "corporate cash cow" feeling business.

Gone are the days where you felt like you were wanted in the store. Now all you are is a walking dollar sign to these people.

Hope Mike and Shannon are doing well for themselves with such a huge expansion. It's just unfortunate to see all the quaint, small, friendly, and clean stores lose sight of their roots.

Sadly, Black Gold - Mythic Games was a downgrade for my liking.

TLDR; Store isn't what it used to be. Look elsewhere for the best of the best. They're now slightly...
