I had a disappointing experience at this store today. I brought the SKU number up to the cashier for the chair I wanted to buy and she checked me out and sent me to the back to pick up the chair. I waited 15 minutes and called the store to make sure I was in the right place. They said they would come out. 10 minutes later a nice woman came out and said she was looking for the chair in the back and could not find it. I waited 30 minutes longer and another woman came up and wanted to know the situation. I told her exactly what happened and she said that they have never had this issue before and I should have had a store member check the back before the cashier rang me up. I asked her if I could buy the chair on the floor. She said no I could not but they could order me the chair and it would come in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately I live 50 minutes away and did not want to come back to pick it up. I asked if I could have it delivered and she said I could order it online except I would have to pay the $40 delivery fee. I asked if she could call and get that removed since this has been an hour long ordeal and she said no that they could only refund my money. Read moreI made two separate online purchases with several items that were shipped at many different times. It was difficult to keep track of all of the boxes/receipts and in the end, I needed to return 2 (the two were from the different orders) of the 7 items I ordered. After trying to return these items to the store once and being sent away to call customer service and return the items myself by shipping them, I ended back at the store. While this doesn't seem positive so far (it was frustrating), I ended up being helped by Boston, the Store Supervisor. He heard me out, and took care of it for me and had a positive demeanor the entire time. I was very gracious about it as I know being a jackass is unproductive. I understood that I didn't have all my documents so it was annoying for him, but he took it in stride. Read moreI enjoy the occasional trip to Cost Plus World Market as the combination of eclectic and interesting items that have been gathered together always creates the element of wonder and occasional surprise. Prices are reasonable and around the holidays I always make a special trip as Cost Plus offers items that are perfect for Christmas and not available elsewhere, especially the European holiday foods and many items that make great gifts and unique host/ess presents. In addition, they have some craft beer and a selection of wines reasonably priced. I always take time to peruse the dining, kitchenware and cookbooks as I never know what I may find. Sign up for their loyalty program to get coupons and discounts. Contraction several years ago eliminated all but two Cost Plus stores in New England (the other one is on Cape Code) and shopping online is not the same experience as exploring a Cost Plus World Market...
