PetSmart only cares about making a profit not your pet. Theyâll do anything they can to get your money. I will tell you why I feel this way first of all my wife and I got a new pet dog so we decided to bring it to the grooming shop, well I told him right up on the phone to try to upsell me because I am a dog groomer and I know how to take care of my own dog do not upsell me do not sell me. I could not express that enough well after they washed and bathed my dog and trimmed his nails a little bit and cleaned his ears they still try to do it. They make a big production of the whole process when they donât need a joke. They did not follow my instructions. My wife and I brought our puppy to a puppy class first thing before the class. Our dog almost got attacked by pitbull in the store. It wasnât my dog. It was other dogs in there. I donât blame it on pitbull. I blame it on the store for not doing anything about it and also the owner or not controlling her dog. In the puppy class they had about 10 dogs in there for one trainer and her voice was so soft. You couldnât hear her complain about it a few different times and they wouldnât do anything about it, our dog is not getting out of their training sessions and either of we donât waste your time going into this horrible store because PetSmart only cares about a profit not about us. You are better off getting a private trainer for your dog because youâre not gonna learn anything as a dog owner, when it comes to order from chewy instead youâre better off. When it comes to dog grooming go to another place Iâm also at US Army veteran and I always speak my mind as a retired NCO. They donât like it when you complain, but the reason my mouth is because I want to learn to train our dog, thatâs how my wife feels because we do this together. Stay away from PetSmart. It sucks! They just want your money. They donât care about your pet or you the company is a joke. by the way, I will say this the people that work there are very nice. Itâs not them. Itâs corporate. Theyâre a bunch of idiots. I also spoke with Jess, who is one of the managers there and she could care less about what I had to say when I called in to the PetSmart. I would not waist your money at the store for anything. Also the manager they got is a joke because we went a class with her being there with eight dogs and she is also clueless because she said it was a great class.Donât waste your money going there because you wonât get anything out of it. Theyâre also anti military being a veteran myself I explained my situation that I do ptsd and that I do know how to train people and they donât like it. Donât call customer service itâs an also a joke. I also met the new manager and sheâs a joke as well as the assistant is donât waste your money. The store sucks. They are also anti-military and I know cause...
Read moreJust had the most awful and unprofessional experience at Petsmart with my cavalier King Charles, Rocky. Both the head groomer, Kevin, and store manager Jess, refuses to groom our dog at his given appointment time after accepting him gladly at drop off. They called us five minutes after drop off saying he was a danger to employees and himself and he had to be picked up immediately. Rocky is the most gentle dog, who has been groomed at this location for many years, boarded at the pet hotel there and banfield is even our vet. He has never posed a problem anywhere.
Back story - Kevin had an issue with my husband and other dog last week and said he was only accommodating us today. He wasnât accommodating, we had an appointment. Turns out they booked another dog at the same time and decided they didnât want to deal with Rocky, which came out in our heated discussion with Kevin. They made up stories about Rockyâs behavior being dangerous. When we showed up to pick him up, he was sitting on a leash next to the woman at the register, happy as can be wagging his tail. Obviously not a danger to anyone if he was sitting there on a leash out of the kennel. Two other dogs in the waiting area and all he did was sniff them. Very dangerous.
The store manager Jess did nothing constructive with the situation and claimed she was listening to our phone conversation deceptively without identifying herself. She said Rocky was a danger to her employees. Again, if he was such a danger, why did they take him out of his kennel and have him on a small leash out in the open when we walked in? When we arrived, they changed the story and never said he was a danger to employees, but a danger to himself, which was an outright LIE.
Bottom line is they refused to take him for grooming because they double booked and were angry with us from last week. Completely unprofessional, disgusting, deceitful behavior. Kevin even continued to lie to our faces when we picked Rocky up. He was dismissive, rude and a disgrace to his profession. Take warning before bringing your pets here.

Read moreI had a very poor experience with a sales associate today. When I first walked in, no one greeted me, all 3 employees appeared to be on their phones. I waited for over 5 minutes for someone to service me near the fish tanks. I had to go up to the register and ask for assistance only for one of the employees to tell me that they were busy and to wait a few minutes (they weren't doing anything at the register, there were no customers). When I finally was being helped (by a tall teenage boy with curly brown hair), I asked him to get me a goldfish (my fish just died after 6 years of care), he asked me the tank size I said 20 gallons he immediately goes ABSOLUTELY NOT and proceeded to mansplain why I wasn't allowed to get a goldfish. I was very upset by this- first of all this was a starter tank, the fish would be moved to a larger tank, he did not care to ask that. He then proceeded to mansplain about all the fish I could get instead. I have been a fisher owner for about a decade now, I found it very infantilizing the way that this sales associate talked down to me, without giving me a chance to explain my circumstance or help me buy a goldfish. Mind you, there are at least 5 dead goldfish in every PetSmart goldfish tank- I think I will treat this fish better than the story or the employee ever would. Overall, I am upset with the customer service, I am upset with how this employee treated me (it is likely because I am a young woman in her 20s and he felt like he had the right to talk down to me), I am upset that he wasted my time droning on about fish I wasn't interested in buying. I felt uncomfortable because of his hostile-like demeanor towards me, a customer. PetSmart, in the future please consider training this specific employee on customer service and education. Some customers do not enjoy being talked...
