Update to my review (and increasing rating as a result): Was contacted by Kim this morning who showed incredible customer service and attention to this issue. She first offered to have my son’s hair fixed, I explained that it wasn’t exactly necessary to fix it at this point, as this isn’t a hairstyle he will be maintaining (thank God haha) and that it’s been over a week so the hair looks OK now after a lot of purple shampoo. She then insisted on a refund which I immediately told her wasn’t necessary. She insisted and felt it was the right thing to do, which I really appreciated and ultimately ended up accepting. I made sure the stylist didn’t lose her tip, because even though the job wasn’t done correctly, the stylist still spent her home doing the job and I didn’t want to take that away from her. I’m very impressed and appreciative of Salon Blonde’s attention to this matter, I’m sure we all learned something from this and in the future, I would definitely go back if looking for a salon.
My son wanted his hair bleached blonde for the summer. I called Salon Blonde and explained that he wanted it done and my one requirement was that it was done right. I don’t want it orange or a funky yellow. I know that dying hair platinum blonde is a process that not everyone can do. This is the conversation I had with the stylist on the phone. She assured me she could do it. My son is 17, we had to get ready to leave for a baseball tournament so I dropped him off, went in and made sure she could do it, and I left. I returned to pick him up when he was done and it was VERY NOTICEABLY GREY around the entire perimeter of his hair. I almost died. I pulled the car back into the parking spot and went back inside. The stylist was in at the front desk. I said “his hair is grey!” She said oh it’s toner it will wash out in a couple washes! WHAT?! His bill was $327 with tip! We shouldn’t be leaving with old man grey hair and having to “wash out” anything for $300!! We rushed home and I had to use baking soda and dawn dish soap to try and wash out the “toner” and tame the grey so he wouldn’t have a massive line of grey hair! This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I wanted to avoid a messed up job. I didn’t have time to deal with this on Friday and as of now, 5 washes with dish soap and purple shampoo it’s OK but I just wish a stylist wouldn’t take a job if they don’t know what they’re doing. For $327, it should have been toned and bleached properly or he shouldn’t have...

Read moreWorst haircut I’ve ever had. The stylist was nice and said she could add some layers on my long curly hair without cutting the length. I ended up with one very heavy section of sort-of layers and then one very thin long layer. I told her I was having professional photos done in a couple of weeks and my long curly hair was my signature look so she would know how important this haircut was. I wish she would have just told me she couldn’t do what I wanted. I had to go to a different salon to get it fixed and now have much shorter hair an I intended, taking 6-7 inches off my overall length to fix. The salon did give me a refund, which I appreciated, but I would much rather not have this terrible...
