Theater in historic Franklin, Tennessee. I was visiting Nashville and decided to drive down to check out the town and decided to see show. It’s a small intimate venue and I would say there probably isn’t a bad seat in the house. There was a small table seating area in front of the stage. They had a concession area but I can’t say for sure what kind of food they had - I remember seeing popcorn. I had one beer. The show was good. Parking is on the street but there are some lots in town and it’s very walkable. I purchased my show ticket online and picked it up at will call - easy process.

The facility is nice. My issue is with the lack of communication on the requirement to wear a mask. It is not posted on their website. There is no mandate from the state, county nor the city. I don't have a problem with a business mandating masks. I have a problem with not telling you when you buy tickets or putting a notice on their website. Once we pay and show up, then they say you cannot enter without a mask. I probably would have chosen a different venue but at that point I've spent my money and showed up with guests. A little too late to find another event on 15 minutes notice.

The Franklin Theatre has become so much more to the community than just a Main Street movie theater. It’s now a symbolic iconic landmark for all to see as they make their way up and down Historic Main Street in Franklin Tennessee. Locals and tourists alike will fill the seats during any performance. Beyond movies, stage plays and live performances — the historically accurate remodel will have you stepping back into time. Highly recommend seeing a holiday film during the month of December — the perfect venue for escaping into A Miracle/White Christmas/Wonderful Life!

Every time we visit The Franklin Theatre for a show or movie we have an amazing experience. This charming little theater, nestled in the heart of the town, is a true gem.

The ambiance of the theatre is wonderfully inviting, with its vintage decor and intimate seating. It feels like stepping back in time, yet with all the modern amenities you'd expect for a comfortable viewing experience.

The local talent on stage was truly impressive, showcasing a level of passion and skill that you might not expect in a small town setting. Both engaging and professionally executed, a testament to the dedication of everyone involved.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the staff and volunteers at the theater. Each person we interacted with was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, which added to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Lastly, the ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the performances. It's clear that The Franklin Theatre is committed to making the arts accessible to the community.

In conclusion, this venue is a wonderful place for friends and family to enjoy high-quality theater in a cozy, inviting setting. It's a cultural cornerstone for Franklin, and I highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike. I'm already looking forward to...

I’ve been coming to the Franklin theatre for about five years now and seeing this place never gets old. Located on Main Street in Downtown Franklin, it’s hard to miss. The building itself is interesting, dating back almost a century to the 1930s. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior, complete with furniture in the upstairs area. They have a concession stand, with popcorn, drinks etc for sale. The balcony by far has the best seats, and I recommend getting front row balcony seats for the best view. They have different events here, from live performances to movies. Check the website to see what is happening near the time you’re interested in visiting, as they have new events here quite often. The staff are always friendly too, which is a plus. This is a super fascinating piece of Franklin’s history, and I’d recommend you research it yourself, as well as visit it for yourself, whether you’re just walking by or coming...

My family and I were denied entry by an UNMASKED employee next to other employees for not wearing masks. When I purchased our tickets online, from a Franklin Theatre provided link, it took me directly to where to purchase the tickets. There was no mention anywhere of any mask requirements. I did search their entire website at the time looking to avoid such a situation, and did not see anything. They have a new website now, that has a small link to their requirements which state "All artists, staff, contractors and patrons must wear a mask while inside The Franklin Theatre unless actively eating or drinking." Obviously they don't follow their own rules, as you can tell by the previous reviewer's photo that I am attaching here, as well as their own employees. The policy also states that they do allow eating and drinking from their concessions, so I guess germs don't spread...
