For my niece's wedding at a nearby venue, we reserved a block of rooms for the couple and many others who would attend the wedding and the rehearsal brunch in the courtyard.
I was repeatedly surprised and delighted by the warmth and professionalism of the entire team – from valets, to front desk, to restaurant, to housekeeping. The hotel is so beautifully designed, decorated, and maintained, and located in the heart of Franklin, convenient to the town's charming offerings. This was a wonderful place to celebrate our newly combined family. Everyone in our large group marveled at the beauty and comfort of the hotel and the professionalism of the service.
My own experience, within the roiling melange of wedding activities, was also first rate. During my five days there I interacted with staff on a variety of details, special requests, and unexpected needs. Both Rhonda and Susan at the front desk brought grace and efficiency to each request.
Specifics: Rhonda and Susan helped me resolve a hiccup in my reservation, and got me moved into the upgraded room that I had wanted. What a room! The corner room had two walls of windows, balcony, and large soaking tub. When my elderly father arrived, we realized we had neglected to reserve his room with accessibility grab-bars at the water closet. All rooms with that feature were already occupied. When I discussed this with Rhonda, she understood the difficulty that this represented and sprung into action. She obtained a set of portable grab bars which she discretely delivered to the room while our family dined with my dad at the hotel restaurant. Amazing!! Truly above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you Rhonda. Valets at the front door were quick to loan an umbrella as I headed for a walk into town, rain threatening, and had forgotten my umbrella in my room. Restaurant and bar staff cheerfully dealt with a group of us moving repeatedly within the bar and lobby on an extremely busy and crowded Friday night. They kept our orders straight and delivered delicious food and drinks within the constant flux of our moving and changing group. Parking valets were engaged, cheerful, helpful, and reassuring at every stage – including multiple loadings and un-loadings of cars, flowers, food, and people during our stay. WELL WORTH the cost for the valet parking. Housekeeping was impeccable. This is the first time I've had DAILY room refreshes from housekeeping since most hotels curtailed housekeeping during the "pandemic." While many hotels have still not reinstated this service, I was delighted to find everything carefully and considerately ordered and cleaned each day. Susan helped me twice with laundry and dry cleaning, including my special requests. I found everything perfectly done and placed in the closet of my room on schedule. Kudos to Susan and to the local vendor who does such professional laundry and dry cleaning for the hotel's guests. Cafe staff were wonderful, smoothly accommodating the unique/odd way that I compose breakfast, including obtaining peanut butter for me even though it isn't on the menu.
None of this would be possible without the good work and professional demeanor of everyone on the hotel team – people whose names I didn't catch. This place is well managed. The quality of every team member shines through. Everyone seems confident, empowered, relaxed, and friendly.
Additional note: Sound isolation between rooms is impeccable. When the room directly above mine was full with the celebrating groomsmen in our party, my room remained quiet and serene below.
The architecture of this new building integrates beautifully into the fabric of the town so nicely that it's hard to tell if it is really new or a very well restored older building. This enhances the sense of place and the...
Read moreWe came to The Harpeth for a work trip with a large group and from the minute we pulled up the staff were top notch to work with. They always asked if we needed help with our stuff, opened the doors and were just super attentive. Some would say we were a little needy as we had many asks as we had a lot of moving parts with everything we had going on but they always seemed happy to help with each and every one we had. There were times we needed our vehicle brought around just to put supplies in or grab something out of it but the guys at valet did it every time without question. They helped me with loading our big boxes and truly made my job easier. James and Parker you rock! Dan was a pleasure to chat with when he was working from asking how our days were, to what we had planned and giving fabulous suggestions on places to eat and explore! Aillie was amazing as well she took the extra step with personally putting a care package that was to be dropped in my room after telling her how I don’t like staff in my room from a previous bad experience I had at a hotel years ago and making note to have my vehicle out front in the morning! The steak and eggs with a hot chocolate at McGavock’s was delicious in the morning and the Wagyu Burger with Fries and the Simpson’s Farm Steak Skewer hit the spot after a long day with a few cocktails at the 1799 lounge. Honestly the entire staff Thomas and Susan included at this hotel have set the bar pretty high for me moving forward for customer service and how friendly everyone we came in contact with was. Franklin as a whole is a great vibe and we felt so welcomed! I have worked the front desk/guest services at a hotel so I truly get it on all levels. We are already looking forward to a return visit. I would recommend this property to any and everyone looking to come to the Franklin/Nashville area as you will not be disappointed! I don’t think I can THANK YOU all enough for all you did for us on...
Read moreIt was my first time staying at this hotel and it sure did impress. I reserved via Hilton Honors app and did contactless check in. Starting with the valet, things were great. Valet was very kind and made brief conversation and welcomed me. The room was very nice. Without a doubt it was within the top 5 (of probably hundreds) cleanest rooms I’ve stayed in anywhere. I really wanted to go to the restaurant there which has fantastic reviews so I made a reservation a couple weeks prior in anticipation of my arrival to the hotel. But I decided against the restaurant and canceled my reservation only because I was traveling by myself and I had attended a full day conference and I was exhausted. So as much as I wanted to try the restaurant, I just wanted to rest in my room. Later that evening I went down to purchase some drinks and snacks from their little shop near the check in desks, the people downstairs were very nice. There was a musician playing acoustic guitar in the lounge area with people sitting around listening. It was not disruptive at all, actually quite nice. The courtyard area they have there looked very nice and peaceful, a nice area to spend an evening. But again I was too tired to experience everything this beautiful hotel had to offer. I really look forward to going back to experience more as time allows and when I’m traveling with my family or friends. The location seemed nice too, a lovely historic area with plenty to do in walking distance. 10/10. Absolutely nothing negative I can say about my visit here. I hope the Harpeth continues to work hard to stay on the top of the market in Nashville because many places have lost their beauty and cleanliness over time… the Harpeth will be one of the very very few left demonstrating this...
