Stop & Shop — Attraction in Freehold Township

Bought canned tuna fish. Comment at the end of purchase from cashier was “ this is the most expensive tuna fish ever/must be really good”. I didn’t know that my shopping habits needed a comment/condemnation. By the way this canned tuna is tested for the lowest amount of mercury so if you are that ignorant of what that means it won’t matter no matter what. On another note the tuna is packed different - so while you comment highly priced it’s actually solid packed unlike flakes in most cans. All this bothered me so much as my shopping should be no ones business I brought my purchase back that day. Then when I brought it back unfortunately I have the exact same scenario from the returned cashier. Her comment was oh this must be some kind of really high-priced tuna. I did not say the reason for the return. However again someone else from the store giving their opinion when it’s not asked for and the store sells it every single day and you have cashiers that or questioning why something is that priced. Why???!!! Then on top of it after I came home I realized they short changed me for one can because the original cashier scanned a cam that wasn’t there so I have no way to prove that what I returned was not from the original receipt. I want to write a review about how loyalty pays off. I’ve been stopping here since before it was stop and shop. Their service was always top notch. The store clean and fully stocked. All the good things you could want in a store. Today I had special circumstances where I needed to get approval from Mary one of the managers and she stopped what she was doing to help me. After that was done I needed Rachel one of the customers service supervisors to go above and beyond to help me get my problem solved. Im a long time shopper and they are both long time employees but the great thing is they are good people who would do the same for first time shoppers.
