Mexicali Blues: Freeport — Attraction in Freeport

hii, so im latinx and queer 🧍🏽‍♀️ gotta make that clear for this review! my gf and i walked in and the workers who were around probably their young 20s all stopped talking. the cashier greeted us before she even saw us, but then when she did see us, she turned away. it felt very weird and off. and we walked further into the store. i was looking into a mirror to see if my hair had gotten frizzy from all the wind and had seen the cashier looking at me with a grimace on her face. once we made eye contact she turned away. we left pretty quickly after that. wont be back and i think its quite hilarious that mexicali blues is a store that borrows patterns and fashion trends made by poc culture but i felt very unwelcome by the white staff present in the front...
