Walk into store already long check out line. waited by online order pick up side of counter team member checked id before checking shelf for online order. when I asked about birthday reward instructed to stand in purchase in store line (i understand free yet has to be entered into system with code from e-mail) same agent who handed me online order asked if I had "return item" ( was holding bag from picking up online order pick up in store.) sigh fine busy I had tried to enter birthday reward code thru browser on ulta website for in store pick up ; while waiting in line line moved quickly enough that I wasn't able to submit order for pick up Online I could of chosen lancone serum what was handed to me was Tula brand 1 oz travel size probiotics cleanser eek reviews of others on ulta website who also received same sample as birthday reward offensive fragrance smell and irritated skin oh well will try on forearms test if any irritation occurs... Had good experience with ulta customer service over the phone had not received snail mail or e-mail promotions and coupons. phone agent transferred me to supervisor "so I wouldn't miss out on birthday reward superviser made sure to verify I received e-mail with code to use in store or online before ending call. at least phone agents wished "happy birthday" no wishes at ULTA Pacific...
Read moreI booked for a blow dry at Ulta and got placed with a beginner stylist. To begin with, I had to wait for my appointment as the stylist that Ulta had booked me with was running behind with her existing client. I was understanding and even told her “take your time, there’s no rush.” 20 minutes after my intended appointment I was seen. Right when the stylist started washing my hair, I could tell she’s quite inexperienced. Nonetheless, I had hope. Now a regular blowout at Ulta takes 45 minutes and here I am 45 mins in my appointment and I’m just getting my hair blow dried. To top it of the technique that the stylist was using was not professional. I had to explain multiple times how I want my hair to blow dried (away from my face) not towards it! She then decided that she will curl the ends so she can give me the look I intended to get from the blow dry. I explicitly told her that I’m not looking to pay extra since Ulta charges $32 for styling or using an additional hot tool. And she mentioned she won’t be styling but curl the ends to finish the look. Fast forward 1 hr 45 mins in my appointment I’m finally done. Still not satisfied, I understood that the stylist did the best she could. I go to the cashier to get checked out and while I’m getting checked out, an employee named Jamila interrupts the cashier checking me out and mentions “well she’s used the curling iron on you, so there’s an extra charge” that’s where my patience ran thin! Her attitude and unprofessional behavior was despicable. I explained to her and told her to look whether my hair actually looks styled to which she just made a face and checked me out.
I wasn’t seen on my booked time. Neither was I offered a quality service. To top it off their customer service was horrible. Especially Jamila’s! Never again will I go to Ulta to get a blow dry. It’s better to pay $10 more and go to a proper salon for better service and professional...

A friend went to get her hair done on 1/21 a Sunday and let me tell you I would have been pissed and made a scene at the time. But this young lady is too nice for that. Her color was a tragic mess. From the looks of her hair there is no way Latifa is a professional. Based upon her behavior with my friend I highly doubt she is a professional, no way would a professional would act the ways she did. First she shamed my friend multiple times for having minimal dandruff. Then Latifa refused to cut her hair how she requested. All she asked for simple couple of inches taken off with some layers and curtain bangs. She refused to cut any layers and just did not bother cutting her bangs at all. The highlights she requested were a mess and not complete, Latifa L did not even complete the color properly she had multiple discolorations. Products and services were added to her hair but she was not informed of the upcharge until after it was completed. Latifa's excuse for the mess she charged my friend over $400's for??? She did not have time for the appointment they had booked but she had no other appointments after our. How do I know? I heard her say to a walk-in customer needing her ears pierced that she was free for the rest of the day and could take the appointment. So why the rush and why no time to do the cut right? Who knows. How about a good reason to be hostile and rude to a young girl? Maybe she had a bad day. But honestly our problem. Highly disappointed in Ulta and this particular stylist. IDGAF what kind of day you are having be a professional and don't mess up a teenagers hair to the point where she was in tears and had to go to another salon to have her hair fixed and pay even more money. Ulta and Latifa should be ashamed...
