Went to this hotpot place on Nov 22nd for ayce lunch and received very unfriendly, unprofessional and discriminatory customer service, will not come back again! We arrived at noon and was the second party to sit down. The ordering was thru a QR code and each table is only allowed to order 8 items per round, regardless of how many people sit in a table. We understand this is to minimize waste but it's very unreasonable for parties with big size. We placed our order at 12:10. We waited for almost one hour but nothing was brought to our table, not even the soup base. Other groups that arrived after us all started eating and many of them even started 2nd or 3rd round. We asked the server when our food will be ready and why it took so long, the female server seemed very annoyed and rude. She did not give us a clear answer and kept saying it's based on when the order is placed. How is it possible that people who arrived at 12:30 placed the order before us at 12:10?! Finally some of the food arrived, but we did not see the meat we ordered. We waited another 10 mins to get the soup base, but they gave us the wrong soup! We told the server to bring the right soup, he took back the pot and the endless wait started again. We also noticed that for a party of 6, they only give 3 shrimps per order, other items are in extremely small portions too. Considering the time limit for ayce is 90 mins and over 60 mins has been wasted for soup base and first round, we do not think we are able to have sufficient time to even complete two rounds. The tiny portion of each order and the absurd rule of only 8 items (2 order of meats) each round would also mean we won't be able to fill our belly when the time is up. We ended up leaving the restaurant without eating the hotpot. By the time we left, we still did not see the meats we ordered for the 1st round or the correct soup base. We wasted more than 1 hour here today and had to find another place to take lunch. Don't come here with expectations of any services, and for big parties, avoid coming to this hotpot place...
Read moreThe food was good but what made my experience here horrible was the service. I went during dinner time. It was my first time, so I didn't know I could call and order. I even input my phone number for their Waitlist. I Patiently waited for my name to be called. After waiting an hour, the waitress gave a look of distain and sat us down at the table next to the cash register. It was a 6 seater. We initially wanted to eat their Thai flavored Hot pot displayed on the window menu. Unfortunately, the waitress said its not available and when I asked her what vegetarian food she would recommend, she replied that vegetarian food is limited and she won’t be offended if we left and went somewhere else. Me and my party felt very offended that she didn’t even try to explain in more detail the menu and she left. It took her 45 minutes to return to our table just to take our order. After we ate, she came up to our table and said she's "surprised we at the food and usually not many Indians eat our food". Her tone was very condescending. I can’t believe this establishment doesn’t emphasize how important it is to give good service and not be racist. I am 100% sure this was the hotpot place I had dinner at because I remembered Crumbl Cookie was...
Read moreThis might be the best meal I have ever had. They allowed me to dine here solo and bring the leftovers home, which I am very grateful for as I do not have friends who like hotpot.
I had been here once before for lunch. The mini pots are underwhelming and I strongly do not recommend them. Go for the hotpot experience
Ordering is complicated. I accidentally ordered some stuff not realizing how the process works. After scanning the menu, you’re already selecting what you are sending to the kitchen so just be careful when ordering. The process is actually genius and I love how accessible it is for people who might not be able to speak English.
With so many unique fungi, meat, and seafood, it is incredible that they are able to keep everything so fresh. The mushrooms tasted like they were just cultivated, the veggies just harvested, and the sliced beef was tender, delicate, and delicious.
The true prize is the soup though. It’s not soup you eat with a soon, it really is just for cooking your food. I still loved it so much I had to drink some after cutting it with water (far too rich and strong to eat alone)
I love to get hotpot or hot soup as an occasional weekend treat. I hope to make this...
