So disappointed.. my husband and i had bought a vanity and a bedroom set so we went back for a sectional on Friday, May 9, we went to American Furniture in fresno to pick out a new sectional for our living room. We decided on a black leather sectional, we paid cash $2000 plus $50 (M.J discounted $30 originally $80 for delivery) for delivery that day so we came to an agreement with M.J ,the sales man/ manager to be delivered on Thursday the following week. Thursday, May 15 comes and the salesman calls me at around 11:15 and asks me if I still need the sectional for that day. I said yes and he said it would. It was gonna cost him $400 to go get it that his warehouse was in Bakersfield. I said we had came to an agreement already that he was gonna deliver that Thursday. so he then asked me what time I wanted it delivered. Which i thought it was weird because he hadnāt even picked it up so i said that it depend what time he was gonna go get the sectional so once he had the sectional to give me a call back. 12:45pm he calls me again and tells me he has my sectional that itās gonna take him one hour to get to me the delivery guys get to my house around 2 PM the sectional wasnāt in boxes. It was just wrapped around with some type of paper. That was unusual because every time they bring furniture they bring it in boxes. I have bought two other pieces of furniture from them. we inspected the sectional and had a couple scratches and it was very dusty from the bottom. So we go to the furniture store on Friday the next day after it was delivered to see if the floor model was there and it wasnāt. so then I asked him if they had delivered the floor model, he denied it so we go back home to take pictures of the sectional and the scratches the dust and we find little threads of the rug It was sitting on when it was at American furniture in the room so we go back to the furniture store i take the threads that were on the bottom of the sectional delivered I tell him look at these threads and I bend down and I pick one thread off the rug in the furniture store that was empty no couches on it and I compare them. Theyāre the exact same thread while still denying that he took the floor model he told me he could change the parts that had scratches or rips i said no and after going back and forth he agrees to take a brand new sectional he wanted to charge me extra $100 which i refused because we payed for a new one not the floor model he had said he would go pick up the one he had just delivered the same day he delivered the new one. which didnāt happen they picked up the sectional May 17th at around 10:30am . so Wednesday, May 21 he brings back the same sectional and Iām saying the same one because it has the same scratches as the one he had previously delivered. On Thursday May 22nd my husband goes to American furniture to see if they had the sectional which they did have one there that was supposed to be the one i had the first time they delivered but didnāt have the same scratches the only thing that i can think they changed was the top of a little compartment that hold the controls...

On 9/1/2023 my husband and I were looking for a dining table so we went to various furniture places. We were torn between Mor Furniture for Less and American Furniture; however, since we had a good experience with American Furniture we elected to purchase from them. Our salesperson was Michelle. We were set for delivery on 9/8 and planned our work schedules accordingly. On 9/7/2023 I received a call from the delivery guys that they were outside to delivery but no one was home. I reminded them that the date on the invoice was 9/8 but managed to get someone to the property to meet them. As they were setting up the kitchen table, we noticed the wood was cracked that forms the base of the table. We raised this concern as soon as we noticed it but the delivery guys downplayed the damage and said, āonce we put the table top on, you wonāt noticeā¦ā our concerns werenāt for aesthetics but the foundation of the table. I immediately documented this on the documents the delivery guys had me sign and called Michelle but she was not in so I was informed she would call me once she got in around 1:00 pm. I never heard back from Michelle so I had to call back a few hours later. I sent the pictures to her as well as the document where I noted the damage and she said she would get back to me but she never did. I messaged her a few days later where she basically said nothing they will do.
As a consumer this is very concerning since I did not purchase the table in this manner and my concerns were downplayed.
Edit: My husband on his own contacted the company and spoke to another customer service representative who was condescending in nature and accused us of damaging the table despite the fact that I had taken pictures of the damage when their delivery guys were there and documented the damage in their presence with them acknowledging the pre-existing damage. After I posted this review, I was contacted by the owner who apologized for my experience and the way the situation was handled. He offered to rectify the issue by ordering a new table and having his men re-deliver it. Fast forward to 10/23/2024 and one of the recliners stopped working. It hasnāt even been one year yet so I immediately reached out to the store. The lady that answered gave me a number to text and told me to send my invoice with it. Had I know I had to keep on to that then I would have !!
I txted the number she sent me with proof of purchase and my couch/rug. They stopped responding to my messages. I will never do business with these ppl again, for the price I paid this stuff should last me for YEARS. Do NOT SHOP HERE !! If you close at 8 pm, why would you stop texting me at 12:58?? You could have said you will follow up or something but you chose to keep me on seen.
Update: 10/28/2024 How are you mad because I made a review and said you STOPPED TEXTING ME. If you can read I said I had a great experience but now my experience is horrible. They called me at 1:40 pm and they asked me to remove the review. They said they would pay me to take this off and I said no. Then he threatened to sue me smh.
