Crows Nest Coffee Shoppe — Restaurant in Friday Harbor

I have never left a negative review before, however this experience was awful. Starting with the good, the coffee (buttercream latte) was delicious, and the barista was very nice and welcoming. We ordered 4 sandwiches and that’s where the problems start. We were told the wait would be around 15 mins, which is understandable. However around the 30 minute mark, our name was called and someone ran up and took our order. We pointed this out immediately to the staff, knowing it wasn’t their fault AT ALL. Immediately we got an angry, rude and annoyed response from the cashier/runner. When we asked how long it would take to remake the food, we were yelled at “Do you want a refund or not” Instead of given a wait time. I’ve worked in coffee shops and cafes before, I understand breakfast rush, but I don’t understand rudeness. Do better. 2 stars for the great latte and kind barista though. Oh and we didn’t even get the right order in the end, we only got 3 sandwiches none of which were the kind we ordered. So yea….skip this place if you...

We were told our sandwiches would take 15 minutes. An hour later, our food was ready and name called. Employee handed our food to another customer just as we were walking up saying very loudly that it was our food (two feet away). When we finally were able to talk to the barista 5 minutes later, we received no apology and were told our food was being remade immediately. The blond barista then began to lose her patience with one of us and said she does not want to waste any food remaking our order, and kept interrupting us to ask if we wanted a refund, when the chef came out with food for us. We received no refund, and the remade food was not what we ordered. I understand how busy this place gets and can't imagine how overwhelmed employees must be, but this experience was very disappointing. The drinks were decent, mostly milk.

Visiting family on island , I was told to come to this shop for the best coffee . The first day I ordered an Americano - and the flavor of the coffee was delicious. The gal working was super sweet . I was so happy with the coffee I came back the next day . The line was LONG and there were maybe some orders happening that were separate from the line I was in , but the owner worked quickly and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of standing with people all waiting to enjoy something delicious. I ordered another americano and a vanilla latte frappacino which my husband really liked . We came again before we left town , ordered the same for my husband and I ordered the Third Eye Latte , with soy milk. It was delicious! Just as described , cardamom and vanilla ish flavors . Really went well with the soy milk. The ratio of foam to soy was perfect ! So glad we were able to come here and we will be back next time we...
