Serendipity Used Books — Local services in Friday Harbor

WARNING!! This is NOT a kid friendly store. Owner really HATES CHILDREN. We walked in the store with our kids and five minutes later owner asked us to leave. We were all masked and our children were being quiet. Owner's excuse was that is was because "children carry germs." No one else was in the store, it was just us and our kids and we were no where near her. Our kids all just washed their hands, had their masks on, and have no signs of being sick. Owner is clearly not a mother or grandmother and loves her books more than customers. I am ok with businesses choosing to be "anti-kid" they just should make it clear to people before they put them in the horrible situation of being asked to leave for nothing more than...

I was here a few months ago when I was back in the area visiting family, and I picked up a couple books and decided to leave a few others—then after flying back to Colorado a week later I realized I did, in fact, very much want those other books, but couldn’t remember enough of the title to find them. I emailed Serendipity with only a vague idea of the cover design and plot and not only did they know the books and tell me more about the series and author, they shipped me all the books in that series that they had in stock and I got them only a few days later! Absolutely the best customer service and best bookshop experience I’ve ever had, and I spend lots and lots of time...

Looks so cute and pretty on the outside and...a but chaotic on the inside to be honest (felt like a bull in a China shop a few times - knocked over at least one stack!). Books stacked in every available (and unavailable) space. Despite this, we absolutely LOVED this shop and would highly recommend it to any and all book lovers!

There was not an author or genre that I couldn't find which is a testament to both the owners shopping ability and her skill in cramming so many titles in such a small space!
