I placed an order online for a bag for my DJ gear. 2 weeks later the order is still not processed. I called up to check what is going on with the order and they say "our mistake the order was overlooked we will process and ship it now." I ask can you two day ship it because I need it urgently and the mistake was on your end and I lost two weeks of delivery time and they say they can only do it if I pay for the 2 day shipping cost. I remind them it was their fault and the rude gentleman says absolutely not. I say okay just regular ship it even though I knew it will arrive after my gig (the reason why I was buying it in the first place.) He tells me we will process it now and I should it by the following week Monday. When I check the tracking they shipped it the following week Thursday. I don't recommend using Frisco Music Center as they do not care about their customers. You can spend your hard earned money elsewhere with a vendor who cares and takes your business seriously. THIS COMMENT IS THE FOLLOW UP TO THE BELOW RESPONSE "Shipped timely"?!?! I ordered the item on November 14 it arrived December 2nd. Three (3) weeks later???? is timely and only after I call to complain. C'mon just admit you were wrong and that you didn't care to do...
Read moreThe shop itself is pretty cool. When you drive up on Main Street it appears there’s a lot of construction and NOT a lot of parking, but this isn’t the case - they have a spacious lot in the back. Enter through the black door and you’ll find yourself emerging into the shop near a wall of ukuleles. The store basically appeared to have three areas. The first room had the strings, acoustic guitars, (maybe drums and keyboards, I’m not sure), etc. The second area seemed to have equipment for recording and maybe some effects. The third room was well worth traversing the labyrinthine layout for, because that’s where they kept the electric guitars and pedals and guitar straps. Despite being a small business they have a great selection. The manager seemed super knowledgeable and helped me pick some extra strings to go with my new guitar at my request. One of the things that really stood out to me too is that they offer a 50% discount on set-up service when you buy a new guitar from them. Although the person who does it was out for the week, I fully intend to bring my guitar back in to get it set up for only 30-something dollars! (Although, it seemed to play great off the wall.) Overall this is a great local music shop and should be on every...
Read moreThis store is great. It's small, and it doesn't carry huge brands, but the selection on everything is solid, from new to used. The big reason to visit this store though is the phenomenal customer service. I had probably the greatest retail experience I've ever had here. Mike, gave us space to walk around on our own and take in the selection but after a bit came in and started telling us about this used guitar we were looking at. He pulled up a chair and started playing it, showcasing all the styles possible, it was a delightful experience. He was full of so much valuable information and had a extremely enthusiastic and friendly attitude the whole time, it seemed like he genuinely enjoyed what he does which is very nice for a change. We were welcomed with open arms not knowing much of anything and I left the store after about 2 hours pointed in the right direction with a much better idea of what style I'd like to get into. If you're into guitars in any way you have to visit this store at least once. Changed how I viewed other guitar stores dramatically, and other retail stores in general....
