Fulton Fishing Pier – A Perfect Place to Greet the Day
This morning, as the first light of dawn caressed the horizon, I found myself standing at the edge of the Fulton Fishing Pier in Rockport/Fulton, Texas. The pier, stretching 1,200 feet into the serene waters of Aransas Bay, offers an unparalleled vantage point for witnessing the day's first rays. As the sun ascended, the sky transformed into a canvas of pinks and oranges, reflecting off the gentle waves—a truly mesmerizing spectacle.
Equipped with state-of-the-art LED fishing lights that illuminate the water below, the pier enhances visibility, making it a favored spot for anglers. Open 24/7, it welcomes both early risers and night owls alike. For a modest fee of $5 per fishing rod, with a maximum of four rods per person, fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines into the abundant waters. Even without fishing gear, the pier offers rentals, ensuring everyone can partake in the experience.
For those who simply want to take in the coastal beauty, the pier is free to walk when not fishing. Strolling its length, with the gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic sound of waves below, provides a perfect setting for reflection and relaxation. Whether you're aiming to catch the day's first fish or simply to bask in the beauty of a coastal sunrise, the Fulton Fishing Pier is a destination that promises unforgettable moments.
Attached here are the photos from this morning's excursion, capturing the pier's beauty and the breathtaking sunrise.

Read moreFulton Fishing Pier what is the point of an honest John box if your staff approaches customers who paid at 5:30am through your box ($10 in all ones so you can check) and tells them they have to pay for a wrist band starting at 7am when staff gets there. Mind you they did their round at 7:40ish.
My frustration is due to your staff insinuating I did not pay because they could not “see” my money from where you dispense the money. Of course you can’t because I pushed it down. Your staff also said they had no way of checking that I paid but that I would have to pay again. I at least would have appreciated being given the benefit of the doubt if you could not check. If that’s the case, post it. There was nothing saying I would have to pay again.
I wanted to love this pier but being treated like that after I was honest and paid makes it difficult to ever come back.

Read moreExtremely rude staff. This pier was recommended to my family by locals and we arrived for night fishing 🎣. We proceeded to walk up the pier and not once saw a gate or persons saying pay to access. I waved to the man inside thinking they were the caretaker and made my way down pier. After about 10 minutes and chatting with locals I noticed a man stomping towards us yelling no cast net which I replied ok sir no problem we apologize. He then walked off but then came back got up in my face yelling where are your bands get off the pier. I asked him to explain what a band was and he called me ignorant and asked if I was blind. No one deserves to be treated that way. I apologized many times and he continued to degrade me. We left immediately of course but it was a terrible experience despite how beautiful the pier was. Truly sad that people can be so...
