I'm so happy to finally have a quality antiques mall in our area that compares to those closer to Atlanta. With two floors full of antiques and vintage, I love that I can find what I need without having to make the hour drive further south. OCC has knowledgeable dealers who offer high quality at reasonable prices. And for those few reviewers who say the prices are high, I've found just the opposite to be true. For example, I was looking for a wicker waste basket at Pottery Barn with price options from $70-120. But I found a very lovely vintage wicker wastebasket at OCC for $24. I think when you're doing actual comparison shopping, you will find the pricing to be considerably lower. When I need a particular item, I always check here first because the prices usually are less than the traditional retail stores. I also love that OCC is just outside of the newly revamped downtown Gainesville area, making it the perfect location for those looking for great lunch/dinner options and a fun afternoon or evening of shopping. It's a great place to spend a few hours, and you'll be sure to leave with something you just can't...
Read moreMost of the time i enjoy coming with my family. But I went in on womens day and three of the women working were so with a group of my friends. Two of the employees were rude to my friends. One of my friends asked pricing for a few things and was met with a annoyance as if she should know. They got mad when she didnt remember where she found a item. The two middle aged women at the bottom floor seemed that they were just annoyed by our presence. There was a man downstairs who greeted us with a welcome smile. Was weird to me the ladies were rude to us when i have come in several time with my kids and husband and never got an attitude. Very unfortunate and quite honestly ruined a bit of my reputation...
Read moreIf one could be a "regular" at a place, I'd probably be considered a regular at OCC. I've been shopping here frequently for a couple of years now and it's become something of a hobby and a sport to find that unique, one-of-a-kind item that strikes up immediate conversation with guests. I have never once left without something unique and exciting in my possession. The layout is excellent, the staff is incredibly friendly, the inventory changes constantly and the store is very large. It's sort of like Disney World. Your eyes can't possibly take in everything in a single visit which leads me to the only downside of OCC..................."it's addictive." You'll want to keep coming back...
