The Depot Event Space — Local services in Gainesville

Bailey and The Depot team were amazing and all other positive adjectives with providing the venue, food and beverages for our wedding. From the very beginning Bailey was an absolute gem, replying to all of our inquiries almost immediately, helping through the menu tasting process and was incredibly flexible and accommodating to all of our close-to and last minute adjustments. Day and night-of Bailey and her team were incomparable! They saw to it that we both got our plates and didn't even have to get up to get dinner! Bailey and her team worked well with our wedding coordinator, DJ, and the photographers. They were awesome with guests and Rob and I felt fully taken-care of the whole time.

The venue itself was beautiful, and perfect for our personalities and interest in historic preservation. We had upwards of 110 guests, which was a little tight with our dining style, (banquet tables as opposed to the typical round tables-not at all the fault of the venue itself-just my stubborn preference when it came to seating). But once we opened the dance floor and people were able to occupy both rooms, it wasn't even an issue.

When my husband and I, along with our future son-in-law’s parents, started planning a celebration for the marriage of our children, they asked for a “Gainesville weekend” with activities planned around their favorite Gainesville places and food from their favorite Gainesville eateries. The centerpiece of this weekend was a party in the historic Depot building at Depot Park. The Depot was THE absolute perfect venue for this party, and the kids received so MANY compliments from their friends and family about how great the place was and what a great time it was. A great party doesn’t just happen, and this one certainly wouldn’t have happened without the efforts of Bailey Bruce. She was a delight to work with and made it so easy for us to bring together all the elements for a party that encompassed all of the favorite Gainesville eats and treats the happy couple wanted and which would not have been complete without food from The Top and craft sodas from Pop-A-Top. I used the Old Train Depot to host a staff retreat buffet style luncheon for 30 people on March 4th. What a lovely space!!! The building allows both sides of the depot to be open letting in nice breezes and the venue itself was just beautiful. Beautiful natural hardwood floors and beautiful decorations throughout the space. They also have a big T.V. screen that looked like you could use for a picture montage if you wanted to. It was even better than I had anticipated. We arrived early enough to set up the tables and chairs with no problems. Be aware that you will need to do all set up and take down yourself but the attendant is there to guide you if you have questions on where to get something or where to put it. Our caterer was a pre-approved off site caterer and did all of the food breakdown but we took down all tables and chairs. The customer service getting the space was also great and easy.
