I never thought I would experience this in Galesburg. With my wife and a couple of friends, we were about to rent a local on Main Street, right on the top of Four Seasons - Galesburg, we had permission from the real estate agent to bring our contractor to evaluate and estimate the cost of renovations.
The first day the contractor who is a Spanish man told me that the lady in the shop was acting as if he was a thief, at the time I did not pay attention.
The next day the agent calls my wife to tell her not to use the front door anymore, but the back one, I started to have doubts.
The next day my wife, our two children, a friend, her two children and the painter who is American. on the way up we noticed the cold gaze of a lady, on leaving another ladies looked agitated and came to ask us several questions about our presence and finally she closed the door saying "I have purses and money I don’t want someone to steal them".
I was shocked , we were shocked.
I asked myself : Is being black or hyspanic synonymous with a thief?

The store has a nice variety of upscale styles & sizes. It's great because clothing is not so jam packed on the racks. Very organized and displayed nicely.
Beautiful jewelry & accessories too. Nice clean dressing rooms with plenty of space.
A fun store for 3 sisters to shop together! Thank you for a great...

I selected 3 and took them to Springfield the next day. Thanks for all your...
