I've lived in Jersey for 6.5 yrs now and worked in Galloway the entire time and I didnt know there was a back side to Patriot Lake Park lol. My husband new about it and we took our dogs to the dog park in the back part of the park. The parking lot is accessible from 6th ave in Galloway. The parking lot is big enough that even on a busy day, theres parking. There is a really nice play ground that was packed with children when we went and then it was a 2 min walk to the dog park. The walking path circled all the way around the lake and on the other side where the municipal complex was there is a gazebo (this is the only side I knew of.) The dog park is a nice size for and has separate parks for big dogs and little dogs. The dog park is made of sand so be ready for sand to get into your shoes, boots, sneakers, etc. The people there were friendly and aware of their dogs and if they got too rough. All in all a good park...

There's sort of a dog park where they have two, gated areas for dogs to run around in and play fetch, there's also a trail that surrounds the lake. If you have a permit you can fish in a catch and release style but every time I've been there the dock is flooded over, which is cute because you see all the turtles and ducks out and about. This area also has a playground that you can get to separately or walk around the lake, where there's also picnic tables if you want to have lunch, an interview or meeting. It's a great area for Pokemon Go and it is also located near a library, police station, Burger King, church and supermarket, a little farther walk and there's a super Wawa. The lake has a gazebo if you need a breather and there are parking lots near the lake and...
ย ย ย Read moreI always love this park. I walk the .30 miles trail around the lake, while waving to my kids at the playground as I pass them(imagination station II). A recently added dog park means there are plenty of my four legged neighbors about to say hello to as well. The little dock on the lake tends to be underwater most of the time, but if you have your boots and are willing to risk it you can still fish from the dock. Water can be anywhere from top of the foot to halfway up the calf. If you fish from the shore, be careful of the beaver. My son was fishing a little too close to its home for comfort last year and it let him know lol. If you prefer to read, the library is right across the parking lot and there Re lots of benches and tables as well as a gazebo to relax...
